    Description

We are a family living in a country house in the astonishing area of La Vera, north of Extremadura, a few hours south of Madrid. My partner and I are translators and work mostly from home.

We have two little children and share our 3.5 hectares with two dogs, one cat, one sheep, bunch of chickens and a couple of geese. We're really into the outdoors, and trying to produce as much of our food by ourselves, and putting food sovereignty into practice is one of the reasons that led us to move here from the city. Well, that and the ideal of simple life. Our property includes an oak forest, a vegetable garden and areas of olive trees, fig trees, a pond where otters and foxes like to hang out... We feel it's a little piece of paradise.

We have a cozy guest house and could definitely use a hand in our property. As organic, wholesome and regenerative an experience as it gets!

We live in a 3.5 hectare place and there is always plenty to do here, depending on the season... from taking care of the organic garden to pruning, feeding animals, moving wood around, weeding, harvesting figs or olives, fixing stone walls, watering plants... What is the character restriction?

La Vera is an amazing area. Its really big for its amazing Gredos mountains hikes and swimming holes, one of them being around 40 minutes away from our place on foot. The town of Jarandilla, with a nice historic area, restaurants and amenities is 15 minutes away on foot from us.
