    Description

N.B. WE DON'T HOST LESS THAN 1 MONTH.
We are a small organic farm located in the heart of the Alte Valli Biodistrict, in the Parma Apennines.
Our little big family is made up of me (Giulia) , Simone, little Lucio and Irene, a dozen or so ancient Cabannina cows, a few Alpaca huacaya for fibre, two horses, four black pigs, dogs and chickens.
Both Simone and travelled a long time individually as woofers before we found each other and started this wonderful life together.
Our values, based on caring for the animals and the land we live on, set us apart.
For three years we have had a small dairy in which we produce yoghurt and cheese exclusively from raw milk.

We have an endangered ancient breed that produces 18 litres of very high quality milk, partly because our cows graze for most of the year.
Simone is very knowledgeable about farm animals and sought-after breeds and, as well as being the president of the consortium that set up the biodistrict that hosts us, he works as a consultant and 'researcher' of sought-after breeds for farms that are starting up or are already under way.
Having both been woofers we love to share this way of life with anyone who is willing to be part of it, and with anyone who wants to learn, but, here, the motivation of those who come to us has to be stronger than a little experience".
Our days begin at 4.00 a.m. with milking and finishes in the evening, our reality is a real working activity that we carry out with sweat and 4 arms because it is the livelihood of our family.
Help is always considered invaluable and WE DO NOT HOST for LESS THAN A MONTH, this is because teaching and helping in a trade like ours takes a minimum of time and practice.
So YES to those who really want to learn, to get involved, to those who might want a different lifestyle, to those who want to get their hands dirty and are really motivated, NO to those looking for a short experience/vacation without any strong motivation.
We have a caravan, parked near the forest, available for our woofers with everything except a bathroom, for that there is a compost toilet, we normally share lunch while dinner is a moment of reflection.
Our activities are varied, mostly dedicated to caring for the animals and the surrounding countryside: milking, cowshed cleaning, clearing woodland and paths, markets, vegetable garden and daily repositioning of pastures to ensure the best quality grass (rational grazing).
We are a cheerful and welcoming family and we believe that as it was for us, these experiences help to regain the lost contact with nature and to have sincere and enriching relationships for everyone.

The village of Albareto is about 10 minutes away on foot, the train station about 20 minutes by car (from here you can easily reach the sea, the Cinque Terre and the city of Parma in an hour).
Our Apennine territory offers many natural wonders, rivers, waterfalls, torrents and walks in uncontaminated places
