    Description

    Hello!

We are a warm and open-minded family living near the beautiful beaches of Tarifa in southern Spain – where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, with stunning views all the way to Morocco.

We live in a large private home and would love some support with everyday family life – mainly helping to keep the house cozy, clean, and organized. Especially during the summer months of June till September, life becomes quite lively here: friends and people we know come by regularly, and our days are filled with kitesurfing, beach time, sports, and enjoying the outdoors together. During this relaxed and active time, we simply appreciate having an extra pair of hands around the house.

We have two daughters aged 12 and 18 who would enjoy improving their English. If you like chatting with them in English from time to time in a relaxed and natural way, we would be very happy – although this is not a main task and becomes less important during summer. Experience with massage or relaxation techniques would also be a lovely bonus, but definitely not a requirement.

You would have your own private room, Wi-Fi, and everything you need to feel comfortable and at home with us. Overall, we feel we would probably be most comfortable sharing daily life with a female helper.

What matters most to us is that you are warm-hearted, reliable, easygoing, and enjoy nature, beach life, and being part of a relaxed family environment. We would love someone independent who feels comfortable fitting naturally into a calm and open family lifestyle.

We see the help as a natural part of living together and sharing daily life. The tasks mainly involve small everyday things such as general household help, keeping things tidy, changing bed linen, or occasionally preparing rooms when friends or people we know come to stay.

Important: The help we are looking for is exclusively related to our private home and family life. It is definitely not connected to a commercial guesthouse or any kind of business project.

We look forward to welcoming you into our little world here in Tarifa!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We’re a warm and open-minded family who loves meeting people from different cultures. While our schedule can get quite busy at times, we’re happy to include you in our everyday life whenever possible—whether that’s a chat over coffee, a walk on the beach, or sharing a meal together.

We can offer you insights into Spanish culture and life in Tarifa, and we’re always eager to learn about other perspectives and stories. We value a relaxed and respectful exchange, without any pressure or fixed routines.

And of course, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy all kinds of watersports here!

  • Help

    Help

As a Workawayer with us, your main role will be to help with housekeeping, organization, and ensuring that our large house, apartments, and terraces are always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Tasks may include housekeeping, laundry, general maintenance, and supporting us with the day-to-day running of the house.

During the summer months (mainly June, July, August, and September), we regularly host friends, athletes, and guests from all over the world. It can be a busy and lively time, so we are looking for someone who is happy to contribute 100%, works independently, and enjoys taking responsibility.

As we travel regularly and are sometimes away for periods of time, trust is extremely important to us. We are looking for someone we can confidently trust with our home. While we are away, responsibilities may include looking after the property, handling check-ins and check-outs for friends, guests, or housemates, and helping with the general organization and smooth running of the house.

If you enjoy spending time with children or young adults, you are welcome to speak English with our two daughters (12 and 18 years old), who always enjoy improving their language skills. However, this is completely optional and not a main responsibility, especially during the summer season. Experience in massage therapy, wellness, or holistic treatments would also be appreciated, but is certainly not required.

Our home is located just a few minutes from the beautiful beaches of Tarifa, one of Europe's most famous watersports destinations. Here you can enjoy surfing, kitesurfing, nature, and the unique lifestyle of southern Spain. It is also a great opportunity to improve your Spanish and experience the local culture firsthand.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, independent, and responsible person who is genuinely willing to get involved. Honesty, trustworthiness, initiative, and a positive attitude are qualities we highly value.

We also want to be transparent: we are looking for someone who truly enjoys helping, contributing, and taking responsibility—not someone who is mainly looking for a cheap holiday destination. In return, we offer a beautiful home, a high level of trust and freedom, and the opportunity to become part of our everyday life in the south of Spain.

We look forward to getting to know you and hopefully welcoming you to Tarifa! 🌞🌊
