My name is Jeanie and I live on Sapeye Lake in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. I have lived and raised a family here and embrace the lifestyle and surroundings: the forest, the lake, the mountains and the wildlife. I have a loyal and playful dog, a cat, friendly neighbours and family who frequently drop by. I was previously a librarian so love to read and I enjoy taking care of my garden in which I grow a variety of vegetables.
This area offers an insight into rural living and the opportunity to explore the remote wilderness area of the Chilcotin. There are multiple hiking trails that lead straight out from my property and you are welcome to use my stand-up paddle board or canoe to go out on the lake. There may be the opportunity to come along to a community event and meet some other locals and pioneers of the area. Nearby you have the opportunity to go on helitours or horse riding adventures at your own expense.
I would like help with carpentry, chainsaw work, gardening and general property maintenance work.
I have two spare bedrooms, each with a double bed in my home. You will have your own bathroom and we will share all other facilities (ie. kitchen, living room and deck).
