Description
We are a family of 2 adults, 4 kids, 1 dog and 1 cat.
We live on our beautiful suburban/ bush block, that's situated 500m to the beach.
Although we live in suburbia we aim to be as off grid and low tech as possible.
We have only been here for about 10 months, so ALL projects are in the beginning stages. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We love all things travel amd culture. Alex is from Nicaragua and Bonnie is from Australia . Together we have lived in many communities, we really enjoy that feeling. We aim to always have a lot of people around our place. Together we can play music, busk, go fishing, collect oysters, swim, crochet and sometimes share a meal together.

Help
We have a lot of home schooled kids, so you will have to be ok with doing the tasks alone at times. The help will depend on what's happening on the block at the time and your skills/ interests. It can range from gardening and building to cleaning and cooking. Every day could be something different.

We would love our kids to know spanish. Anyone who can help us teach them would be appreciated. Alex speaks Spanish, English and French, and is happy to practise with you. -
Accommodation
The offer is for accommodation only. As we become more abundant we will be able to offer food from our patch.
The caravan is intended for workawayers, but is not yet set up. Maybe that will be your first job?
In the meantime you will stay in the house (keeping in mind we can't keep the kids quiet for you at any time of the day, even mornings. Sorry!) with access to your own bathroom, or we have tents. -
What else ...
For your time off a car is not completely necessary, as the beach and shops are a5 min walk. There are buses. We go often to different towns around the area with one spare seat, possibly two.
We are with neighbours, and with that in mind we can't play music loudly over speakers, or stay up really late chatting outside.
While staying in the house your bathroom and bedroom will be your cleaning responsibility.
There is no WiFi but there is reception. -

Any pets are fine, as long as the won't run away as the yard is not fully fenced. Friendly animals who are used to kids only.
