We had a wonderful time with Marcos family. Marco, Betty, Mio and Emi are the best! Great food, adventures and learning opportunities abound. They welcomed our small family into their family and we were all one big family for a short month. We all had good time eating together and enjoyed amazing food cooked by Betty. Atlas learned how to say ciao
… read more and loved interacting with the family. They were vey sweet with him and he ate it up. Chris really enjoyed building the Gazebo and working with Marco and the boys. Everyone was playful and full of laughter and all the shennagins you would expect from an Italian family. We learned how to make homemade pasta and other dishes from Betty and shared our best American dishes. They took us to the surrounding towns and showed the history and magic of the area as well as visiting their family. We also visited several agricultural projects making cheese, curing meats and farm production. It was Italy in the countryside in all the ways one imagines and more. There is a beautiful river flowing next to the house where we would chill and play in the afternoons when it was hot. We brought a projector and set it up and had a movies night. On several occasions friends came over for dinner and it was great fun preparing and sharing meals with the guests. The house is a wonderful 800 year old farmhouse and is pure magic, decorated to reflect days gone by. Perhaps the most romantic bathroom ever. All in all it is an experience we will remember forever and we hope to return as Marco and his family have become our family. Lets hope we all get to see each again sooner than later. They are a beautiful family filled with light, love and that special Italian flair. Oh and then there's the submarine......You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Feedback
