Description
UPDATE: I am available starting early April until the beginning of June. Please write me personalized message with the skills and experience that fit with my needs.
I will prioritise profiles who either:
- have experience with ecological gardening and permaculture.
- have experience with house maintenance, improvements, decorations etc.
- have experience with painting indoors mural
- have experience with marketing (newsletter, email campaigns) for the NGO
My name is Anca. I've lived in Bajamar, Tenerife for over 7 years. I have recently moved to a house with a garden and I finally have the space to receive volunteers.
Come and help me make my dream come true: have a nice garden and house to host people.
I have volunteered with Workaway myself several times in Latin America 7 years ago and upon arrival in Tenerife too, so I am glad to be able to return the experience.
Besides for searching for some help with the house, I am also looking forward to people to connect and have authentic exchange with, to spend some quality time together.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I lived in 4 countries and traveled a lot, so I love cultural exchanges.
You can learn about sustainable habits, organic gardening, making compost, permaculture.
I can show you what I know about Tenerife and.. I love talking about life :)Help
Are you autonomous and proactive?
I am searching for someone who knows how to paint a mural on a wall inside the house.
Besides this, I am looking for people who have experience and/or skills to make small repairs and improvements in the house and/or in the organic garden.
Ideal someone who knows about bioconstruction, agroecological techniques, permaculture etc.
Other help I will ask for:
- cleaning and tidying tasks.
- maintenance tasks
- cooking for 3-5 people (only when we are many volunteers or for special ocassions)
- helping restore old furniture etc.
I also have an NGO that works with organizing training courses and Erasmus projects, but for now the focus will be on the house.
For the NGO, we sometimes need help with IT (fixing some things on the websites or computers), marketing, networking with NGOs from EU countries etc. We work with Erasmus projects.
!! With the NGO, we´re also searching for someone to come with 6 months paid scholarship with the Erasmus Entrepreneur program (you can search info online on how to apply in your country).
IMPORTANT:
I am searching for people who like peace and tranquility (you need to respect silence during office hours and between 22.00-8.00).
NO DRUGS ALLOWED IN THE HOUSE.
No smoking inside. I don´t drink alcohol, but I don´t mind if you have a drink now and then.
I open the doors of my home and try to make your stay comfortable, so I expect you to respect the furniture and everything, maintain cleaness and tidiness in common spaces etc.
I am searching for people who are committed, motivated to contribute, who are proactive and take initiatives, and are able to put into practice their ideas until the end.Languages

I can practice French and Danish, and show English or Spanish.Accommodation
Individual bed in private or shared double room in a house with garden.
My rented vegetable garden is at 10minutes walking distance.
You will live 2 minutes walking to the sea, 7 minutes walking to the beach and 15-20 minutes walking to the mountains.
You can enjoy the outside space all day long, almost all year round.
The neighbour´s cat is popping by sometimes (we try to avoid it enters in the house).
The food arrangements will be agreed on before the start of the exchange, My proposal would be to provide ingredients for 3 meals per day and access to kitchen that the volunteer would prepare themselves. Another option (which I don´t prefer) would be to offer less meals in exchange of maximum 15 hours of work per week.
Mainly vegetarian products are to be used in the kitchen (with very few exceptions).
Please don´t bring milk-based products (especially not chees), as I am intolerant and I love cheese, and I prefer to have the temptations away from me :))
I offer basic ingredients, veggies, fruits etc (already processed food to be avoided) that you would cook yourself / we can take turns. What else ...
Bajamar is a quiet semi-touristic village, perfect for people who search connection with nature, peace and harmony. You can swim, go at the beach, go surfing etc.
There is a bus stop at 5minutes distance.
If we are on the same page, we can also go together by car hiking, on a road trip, camping, dancing, etc.A little more information

Anca is kind and considerate and clear in her requirements and instructions. The tasks varied each day from cleaning and gardening to fence sanding and painting, sewing and creating art through up-cycling shells. I enjoyed the variety.
