Description
Hello!
We are Mauro, Patty and Giuseppe, living in a magnificent part of baja right on the sea of Cortez. our projects are an eco sustainable homestead and also a cozy hostel.
We have been here for 28 years now and our dream is to be as self sufficient as possible. We grow our own vegetables in our greenhouse, use composting toilets, keep chickens, and recycle as much water and waste as possible.
We are a small hard working, relaxed family looking for some help on our future projects.
(Please note we do have several dogs and cats, more info can be given upon request)Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Bahia is an incredibly serene place, and our house is situated right on top of the hill overlooking the town and the sea or Cortez. We also offer teaching to work with natural materials, building walls made from clay, or such things as hay, glass bottles and recycling.
We have a strong Italian background and are always in the kitchen making authentic Italian meals, and we love to share our recipes!Help
The main kind of help we need is people who can work well with their hands. We create our structures from a clay and water mixture, but these skills can be taught.
Other help required:
Painting (walls, filling in cracks)
Carpentry (working with drills, screwdrivers etc)
Structure building
General maintenance. (Building, fixing, sprucing up)Languages

- 4 dogs and 4 cats, all adorable
- great view on the bay from a very isolated place
- interesting house and quite confortable although stuffing hot in summertime (we had a bedroom, but we preferred go and sleep outside).
I feel unhappy with :
In summertime and for the 6 hottest months of the year, Mauro lives alone, so we… read more
