Description
We, Sarah & Viktor, a couple (German and Lithuanian) who bought a rural land in February 2022, are looking for help on our finca and olive grove on the lovely and sunny island of Fuerteventura where we want to build an ecofarm. We mainly need help with basic and simple gardening and building tasks on the land (collecting stones, building a fence, planting, making a compost toilet etc.).

We live on the sunny island of Fuerteventura on Canary Islands. The Canarian culture is quite different from the typical Spanish culture, everyone might know. You will be able to get to know this beautiful rocky island, meet people from everywhere as it is quite international here as well and practise Spanish if you want to improve your skills. We also speak several other languages if this is something you might be interested in.
We could also go surfing together.Projects involving children

Help
We bought the land in February 2022 and it is still very basic. For now, we are looking for help with basic and simple gardening and building tasks. You should not be afraid of tackling tough but simple tasks and love to work outdoors.
Currently, we are specifically looking for someone who is travelling in one's own van/motorhome and could directly stay on our finca (we still live 10 minutes away in a flat). We want someone to be there and also sometimes take care of some tasks when we are not there.
If you are travelling with your campervan and are completely self-sufficient (regarding electricity, for example) and looking for a quiet place, it is the perfect place for you. There is plenty of space to put the car or a caravan but please be aware that there is currently no electricity (we are working on installing solar panels, though).
Should you need to wash your clothes or anything else, you can do that at our place, of course.
There is a small shed on the finca that can be locked and used for storage.
We would require you to work between 4-5 hours 4-5 days a week, but this would also be quite flexible as maybe sometimes we would stay a bit longer on the finca to finish a work but then the other day you would have more time free, for example. This can all be talked about.
With the time we want to make it more comfortable, we almost finished our outdoor kitchen area and started with a compost toilet that need some work to be done. An outdoor shower would also be one of the next projects.Languages

What else ...
We highly recommend that if you want to travel the island in your time off, you should rent a car. There are also buses that take you to the bigger places but their frequency varies a lot ;-)
In your time off you can also go to the nearby beach (from our house about 10 minutes walking distance) or learn to surf (15 minutes by car to the next surf spot) or any other watersport.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.A little more information
