I am also looking for Volunteers, that are able to speak English. Ideally I am looking for 2 Volunteers for 3 to 6 months working in front of house (reception and bar). We need an enthusiastic, self motivated, flexible person to help run the Lodge. Duties range from - help in Housekeeping , front desk/reception, checking in/out guests, and general running of Lodge. Service is our no 1 priority. We need friendly, personable and responsible volunteers who love helping and enjoy interacting and being with people. and the minimum stay for this position is 3 months please.
We are looking for volunteers all year round and we ask that you stay from 3 months to 6 months!!

Laundry: Regretfully we are unable to do your laundry as we only live off rain water. We have a great laundromat in town, here you can wash yourself or you can give it too them and they can wash it for you.
Animals: we have 1 dog, we do live in the forest and our animals help us keep the unwanted wild life away e.g baboons, monkeys ext....
We are situated 520km from Cape Town and 240km from Port Elizabeth, to get to us you would have to take a bus, you could contact Baz Bus or Computicket (main line buses). Once you have decided to come to Plett we will collect you from the Shell Ultra on the N2 in Plettenberg Bay.
Summer (December - February) our weather can reach up to 32 degrees so shorts and T-shirts are great to work in, but always remember to bring something warm as we can have a chilly day.
Autumn (March - May) weather temperatures can still be quite warm reaching up to 27 degrees, the evenings can start chilling down a bit
Winter (June - August) winters are not bad at all, we do have winter rain so some days can be 17 degrees or a little less and other days can reach up to 25 degrees, evenings are cold.
Spring (September - November) starts off chilly and then starts warming up between 25 - 27 degrees, still a bit chilly in the evening.

We offer volunteers dorm style staff accommodation or if you would like privacy please bring a tent and free internet and discounts on selected activities in Plettenberg Bay if you stay longer than a month.
Plettenberg Bay, nicknamed Plett, is in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It was originally named Bahia Formosa (beautiful bay) by early Portuguese explorers and lies on South Africa's Garden Route 210 km from Port Elizabeth and about 600 km from Cape Town.
