    Description

I am a seafarer and wish to get back to land so I have bought a piece of land which I wish to develop into an Eco off grid village with like minded people. The plan is to build a few A-frame cabins for long term or short term rentals, get a garden going and be as self sufficient as possible.

The land is 1.5ha and has 123m of water front that sets the NW boundary of the property. Set in a quaint holiday village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa called Morgan Bay.

There is a lot to see and so much more to explore! Walking distance to the sea with some alternative hiking trails if he prefer.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We offer Workawayers a unique opportunity to experience authentic South African culture while living close to nature. You’ll be welcomed as part of our family/team and get hands-on experience in our off-grid lifestyle — from sustainable living, gardening, and bushcraft to cooking traditional meals over a fire.

During your stay, you’ll learn about local customs, community life, and the natural environment of the Eastern Cape. We enjoy sharing stories, meals, and skills — whether it’s showing you how to braai, forage, or use local building materials. In return, we love learning about your background and culture too.

We aim to create a warm, open environment where Workawayers can grow, contribute, and feel truly connected. Whether you’re helping on the land, building, or joining in daily life, there’s always something meaningful to be part of — and plenty of laughs along the way!
