Description
Hi!
My name is Concha, and I’m an enthusiastic language trainer living in a small, peaceful village near Zaragoza. About ten years ago, I opened my own language place, where English is not taught as a school subject but lived as a way to communicate, connect, and become an open-minded citizen of the world.
I strongly believe in natural language learning — the same way we acquire our mother tongue: through communication, interaction, games, and real-life situations. That’s the way my kids (16 & 7 years old) learnt English and Spanish.
I’m looking for native English speakers who would like to stay with my family for a few days (or longer, depending on availability) and share everyday life with us. The main goal is to help my children improve their English naturally, through daily conversations, meals, games, routines, and family activities — no formal teaching required. It’s a project based on reverse language immersion, bringing the language and culture into our home and our community.
We offer accommodation, meals, and a warm family atmosphere, as well as the opportunity to experience authentic village life in Spain. This project is ideal for people who enjoy cultural exchange, family life, education, and a slower, more meaningful way of living.
We are especially interested in Workawayers with some experience with children, but above all, we value openness, kindness, and the willingness to share your culture and language naturally.
If this project resonates with you and you’d like to be part of our English club and community, don’t hesitate to contact us.
It’s never too late — there’s no treasure like human connection.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our village is located 25 km away from Zaragoza, one of the biggest cities in Spain, from which you can take the AVE (high speed train) and reach Madrid or Barcelona in less than 1h 30min.
Leciñena village has got a lively social life which allows you to interact easily with the community. There are supermakets, a library, sports centre, bars and restaurants where the locals meet for a drink and a good chat. It's in the middle of Monegros, the alive desert of Europe, so you will be impressed by its astonishing landscape. If you enjoy sports there are lots of routes you can cycle or hike.
There no foreigners here, so it is the best of the opportunities to improve your Spanish in a welcoming safe environment. It is not a must, though. We all speak English in my family!

Help
The help requested is mainly based on language exchange, cultural sharing, and family interaction, rather than formal teaching or hard work.
Main activities may include:
• Spending time with our children and speaking English in everyday situations (mealtimes, games, walks, cooking, outings, etc.).
• Playing games, reading stories, singing songs, or doing creative activities in English with the kids.
• Sharing aspects of your culture and daily life in a natural way (traditions, celebrations, food, music, stories from your country).
• Helping create a relaxed English-speaking environment at home (reverse language immersion).
Occasionally:
• Participating in cultural activities such as cooking together, board games, storytelling, or cultural presentations.
What is NOT expected:
• No formal teaching.
• No household chores beyond sharing normal daily tasks (tidying up after meals, keeping common spaces clean, as any family member would do).
• Approximately 4–5 hours a day, with flexibility depending on activities and the time of year.
Who this experience is ideal for:
• Native English speakers who enjoy being around children and families.
• People interested in languages and cultural exchange.
• Open-minded, communicative, and respectful volunteers.
• Those looking for a calm rural experience and meaningful human connection.
Time commitment:
• Approximately 4–5 hours a day, with flexibility depending on activities and the time of year.
• Weekends and free time can be discussed and arranged together.
Our aim is to create a mutual exchange, where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and enriched by the experience.
