    Description

    Hi travellers,
after 5 years of travelling and living abroad in communities (France, Israel) I'm back on my beautiful little old farm in Oed.
I (60 years old) live in an 200 years old, charming little farmhouse with 4 ha (= 40 000 m2 - garden, meadow, pond, forest, )
I re-establish my life here and need help with landscape caring. Pruning, cutting, mowing around the swimming pond and the house, reviving some garden beds. Help with next year's firewood.
People with mechanical skills are most wanted, to care for my old Steyr tractor!
I started remodeling work on the house, I can also use help there.
You don't necessarily need prior knowledge, if you have experience, that's wonderful, if not, I'll show you everything necessary. I am a trained and experienced woodworker and know some about gardening, landscape caring and permaculture.
Helping with household chores, such as cleaning windows, or cooking, is great too!
I would appreciate about 20 - 25 flexible hours per week Monday to Friday, usually we agree on the task and you plan your day or week as you wish.
I buy the food, the closest store is in the Village Markt Hartmannsdorf, about 4 km away. Usually I cook a meal for lunch and ask you to prepare breakfast (I'm a bit on the late risers side;-) and dinner yourself, you can use the kitchen whenever you want. I love it, when you cook for us!
I am vegetarian, but if you "need" meat, that's no problem, here around we'll find sustainably "grown" meat.
What can you expect from your stay at my place? A beautiful green quiet place with a large swimming pond, surrounded by forest.
A kind of community: in the wider surroundings there live people, who share interest in a sustainable life style, we stay in contact.
In the house: a (small) room for yourself, we share the bathroom and the kitchen.
Wifi (please, bring your own devices), laundry, some english books and a lot of german books. (No TV 😄😭)
In the warmer season I like to have camp fire outside, at the house or by the swimming pond.
If you want, you can realize a little woodwork on your own in my workshop, I'll help with it.
You will find a rural landscape with rolling hills and some interesting spots to visit around (Riegersburg - a beautiful old fortress on top of an ancient volcano, including a fixed rope route. Zotter's chocolate factory. An interesting artwork called "Weltmaschine". The beautiful city of Graz) I'll find time to take you there or you can have my bike or E-Bike for a tour.

Looking forward to meet you! Elisabeth

As mentioned above, I live on a big property, which used to be a traditional oldstyle farm. I need help with landscape caring around the big pond, the house, the forest and the greenland. You don't necessarily need prior knowledge, I'll show how to do things or we work together

I lived in Israel in a small Kibbutz, everyone addressed me in English, so I didn't learn much Hebrew. I am interested in learning more Hebrew

The internet connection is good enough for scype/zoom/whattsapp calls, but definitely not for big data volumes. I also don't have a "internet work place" you would need to use the kitchen table or your room
