Description
We are located in the Far North of the North Island, between Doubtless Bay and Kaitaia.
We have 3 acres of land, with 2 streams running though, a few established fruit trees .
We have 4 cats.
There is always something in the garden to be chopped, weeded or tidied up. It's never ending!
We are a friendly, sociable family of 5, and we would love you to come and be a part of it.
I work as a teacher aide in a Primary School and my husband works as a solar installer and electrician.
Our eldest is 19 and works full time at the local sports hub. The other 2 are 14 and 11 years old.
We love exploring beaches, camping, and swimming/snorkelling.
Our most favourite thing to do is travel (mum and kids) . Either in New Zealand or overseas.
Plenty of great beaches around here. The closest being Cable Bay, in Doubtless Bay, just a 10 minute drive away.
Matai Bay, our favourite camping spot is just 30 minutes away, and a couple of lovely lakes are all within a 15 minute drive from here.
90 mile Beach is also about 20 minutes away.
Our nearest town Kaitaia is a 15 minute drive.

Kaitaia has a cinema, library, indoor pools and shops.
There is a bus to Kaitaia which caters for people getting to and from work so it leaves early and returns dinner time which anyone can use, although doesn't operate daily.

Mailys was a pleasure to host. The children loved her and enjoyed her teaching french to them. She enjoyed playing with the children, helped to keep the kitchen tidy (without needing to be asked) and loved being in the garden too.

I stayed during 2 weeks in Rebecca's home and it was a real pleasure ! The kids are so funny and the work is not very hard (i was playing with them, I was gardening...). I had my own cosy room with a breakfast in the morning and a dinner.

Lynn was lovely, such a happy person to have around the house, and we loved trying her Korean meal she made for us.

Meike unfortunately didn't stay for very long, but for the few days we spent together she was very helpful. A very polite, grateful and generous person, who genuinely cared for the children. Magdalena was wonderful with all the children. They all adored her, and we're sad when she left after 10 days. Nothing was too much trouble and her smile and enthusiasm was always present.
