We founded the project 6 years ago. Our team at the moment is: Steffi (born 1973) and Peter (1966). There are 3 dogs around. Since 2 years the coffee bar and the ice cream production work bio-dynamically following the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. Our processes are certified by DEMETER and the European agency for organic products.

You can learn with us how to run a DEMETER certified food project, deal with local farmers and be part of the production process of creating wonderful organic ice cream.
Our place is built by hand and all building work was done ecologically mainly inspired by old moroccan techniques (using clay, lime plastering = Tadelakht, etc.), we use solar energy and in the winter we heat with wood. We are still in the process of working on the buildings and you can learn all those techniques with us and apply them with your own creativity!
We can organize the possibility of attending a language class to learn German.
While traveling to festivals you will see different parts of Germany from the south (Bodensee) to Hamburg. On our free days we will go to visit cultural events in locations nearby.

Always wanted to see how life goes in an organic coffee bar and ice cream production? We are working with organic farmers in our region and we need your help in every aspect of the process. That is getting the fruits from the farm to the house, working in the ice cream kitchen or baking home made cakes or marmalades. Another option is to help with our guests who come here mainly on the weekends or bank holidays.
The whole project is still in the process of being developed. According to your interests there can be projects set up like building a small garden (maybe with permaculture or biodynamically?), helping with renovating using moroccon techniques like tadelakht. Or other ideas that we come up with together.
Once a month we participate in a festival in different parts of Germany. So you can come with us traveling or stay in the house - just how you like.
If you are entitled to work in the EU, we will pay minimum wage in form of a regular German mini job. Your responsibilities will be working on Saturday and Sunday 5-6 h each day: service in the restaurant, baking pizza, creating nicely decorated ice cream cups, etc. The food and accommodation offered, will be partial offset or deductable from this wage.

We have one room for each of the workawayers and a shared bathroom. We will have food together and the kitchen is the central meeting place for all of us. Help in preparing food and of course cleaning is appreciated. All meals plus water and tea/coffee are free.
