    Description

Our farm is a centuries-old organic farm in the inland hills of the middle Molise, along the banks of the Biferno River, halfway from the Adriatic Sea and the Matese mountains, where we often go hiking. The bioregion is made up of arable and arboreal pastures alternating with oak, hornbeam and ash woods, mainly.

The integrated agroforestry system allows us to cultivate dozens of species of crops from herbaceous to arboreal, facilitated by a high biodiversity area, one of the highest in Europe.

Last news: "The farm in this specific moment need people with experience of house sitting and this is perfect for people who want share and grow about organic shallow tillage techniques for Mediterranean crops in tandem with the traditional food processing and natural building activities. For this question everyone helpers need to stay minimum one month for the great benefits of the experience here"
We also have relationships with other organic farms, universities, research centers for the biological improvement of no tillage and shallow tillage techniques in particular the spreading seeding technique and also the sowing by burial with specific no-till seeder, we use cover crops and other specific equipment. Finally, the research concerns the strengthening of agroforestry systems in general and the sustainable use of forest resources. If you have specific skills in conservation agriculture and forest management, as well as simple enthusiasts in these sectors, we are looking for different collaborative figures and can make us useful for small professional growth ideas

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

There are lodgings in self-built wooden tiny houses up to filling places, but also functional and comfortable wooden platforms in the shade of the trees, for those who prefer to stay in tents. We are completing the works and therefore we need a pioneer spirit of adaptation, great responsibility and a great desire to learn new activities. Meals tend to be vegan from our cereals, legumes, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, almonds, walnuts, etc. The nearby shepherd often cheers us with cheeses and sheep and goat ricottas.

    What else ...

We lead a simple life in a fairly wild bioregion, in 20 minutes by bus we arrive in the city and in 40 minutes we arrive in the mountains or in the sea. Around the farm it is possible to take beautiful walks along the paths either on foot or by bike
