Our family consists of 4 people, our two kids Luca (13) and Giorgia (7), my husband Maurizio and me.
We both work in two multinational Companies in International assignments and sometimes it happens we have to travel. While not travelling, I usually work from home, where I have my home office.
Luca is on grade 9, starting high school. Giorgia is on grade 5, fourth year of primary school. They have a very controversial relation, full with love and discussions :-) they are sweet and sensitive, both very active, playing different sports and liking outdoor activities.
Luca plays soccer while Giorgia does gymnastic and started Synchronized swim. She never stops dancing and singing :-) on Saturdays we go all together to swim. In wintertime we all ski. Both the kids have a good understanding of English now and can speak, more or less. Giorgia is like a little sponge, learning day by day with a natural approach. Luca must study, with dedicated activities. Our family is very open, with strong family values and we always support each other. We like to stay with friends during the week-ends and whenever we have some spare time.
We live in a nice detached house with a rear garden in Cassina de' Pecchi, a small town 15 km far from Milan. The town is well connected to Milan by the green line of the tube, taking only 30' to the city center or railways station. At a walking distance you can find all what you need, from malls, banks, shops, fitness center, swimming pool, cinemas, library, restaurants, pubs and more. Being a small town, it's easy to move by bike or simply walking. There are plenty of riding paths, safe and quick. In the same village, there are 4 other Au Pairs who frequently meet to go out. We had 6 AuPairs in our family in the last few years: Dayna and Emily from Canada, Laura and Gemma from Australia, Sandy from New Zealand, Destiny from USA and Ana from Mexico who left in January 2018. Many of them would be willing to provide references if needed and let you know more about their experiences with us.

We are looking for you to spend valuable time with our two kids, teach them English, play, engage them in 'healthy' activities (better outdoor), to provide some support in their home work.

In terms of 'duties' You would have a part time assignment, as we would need you to stay with our kids approximately from 3h00 PM, when they come back from school. You would have to drop them to the afternoon activities (if any) and back home for bath, play time, dinner all together around 7h30 PM. In few cases, when I am travelling, we could ask to help in the morning preparation of the kids, and/or to prepare dinner for kids if out at night. There is plenty of free time that can be used to fill in with favorite activities, sports, meeting friends, learning Italian or simply relax. We appreciate you could gives a light help when setting or dismantling the table, preparing the dish washing machine or empty it, as a real family member. We all help each other. We have a dedicated location in the home basement equipped with a big room (hosting a sofa bed, bookshelves, table w/chairs, wardrobe, fire place, stereo, TV, WIFI, three windows), a dedicated bathroom w/ bath tube and shower, toilet and sink and a separate entrance to the house ... All to keep your own privacy. Washing machine and drying machine are available and free to be used.
