Description
Join us in Kokkari, one of Samos' most beautiful villages, for a cultural exchange. I moved here 7 years ago and this big house on Samos is my dream come true—a small paradise in harmony with animals, nature, and people. Join us and be a part of this beautiful journey!
Our home is surrounded by green fields and just a few minutes walk from the beach and town square, with many restaurants and bars! It features a large garden where we grow lemons, oranges, vegetables, and flowers. My three dogs, geese, and chickens are also part of the family.
We prefer volunteers over 20 years old for 2-5 week stays. If there is availability, you may have the option to extend your stay longer than 5 weeks while you are here.
Weekly tasks include garden maintenance and animal care. Specific duties include:
- Walking the dogs twice daily (morning and evening)
- Preparing breakfast and dinner
- Planting, gardening, and painting
Tasks vary seasonally and are assigned daily, typically the night before or in the morning.
We seek responsible, trustworthy individuals who are open-minded and eager to learn. Independence and flexibility are essential.
Our home is a no-smoking, no-alcohol, and drug-free environment, both indoors and outdoors.

Kommt Sie zu uns nach Kokkari, einem der schönsten Dörfer auf Samos, für einen kulturellen Austausch. Ich bin vor 7 Jahren hierhergezogen und dieses große Haus auf Samos ist mein wahrgewordener Traum – ein kleines Paradies in Harmonie mit Tieren, Natur und Menschen. Kommen Sie zu uns und werden Sie Teil dieser wunderschönen Reise!
Unser Haus ist von grünen Feldern umgeben und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand und dem Stadtplatz mit vielen Restaurants und Bars entfernt! Es verfügt über einen großen Garten, in dem wir Zitronen, Orangen, Gemüse und Blumen anbauen. Meine drei Hunde, Gänse und Hühner gehören ebenfalls zur Familie.
Wir bevorzugen Freiwillige über 20 Jahre für Aufenthalte von 2-5 Wochen.
Wenn die Verfügbarkeit besteht, haben Sie möglicherweise die Möglichkeit, Ihren Aufenthalt während Ihres Aufenthalts länger als 5 Wochen zu verlängern.
Zu den wöchentlichen Aufgaben gehören Gartenpflege und Tierpflege. Zu den spezifischen Aufgaben gehören:
- Zweimal täglich mit den Hunden spazieren gehen (morgens und abends)
- Frühstück und Abendessen zubereiten
- Pflanzen, Gartenarbeit und Malerarbeiten
Die Aufgaben variieren je nach Saison und werden täglich zugewiesen, normalerweise am Vorabend oder am Morgen.
Wir suchen verantwortungsbewusste, vertrauenswürdige Personen, die aufgeschlossen und lernbegierig sind. Unabhängigkeit und Flexibilität sind unerlässlich.
In unserem Haus ist Rauchen, Alkohol und Drogen sowohl drinnen als auch draußen verboten.

We (me and my 3 dogs) love to show people around the island. We can also show you typical restaurants and Tavernas on the island. I am always happy to exchange travel experiences and stories, like, for example, my many adventures in India and Nepal! I also enjoy hearing about travelers stories and experiences as well!

Help
Things are always busy here! Most weeks we have the following tasks: watering and weeding the garden, cooking and cleaning, feeding and caring for the animals, while having fun!
Some of the tasks are for example:
-walking the dogs
- cooking with ingredients from the garden
- planting / gardening
- painting murals...
We need responsible, trustful people that stay at our place, preferred more than 25 years old.
As long as you are open-minded and willing to learn new skills, you'll be able to do it all. Doing things alone and being flexible shouldn't be a problem for you. Tasks change week to week, but we try to stay organized.
Our place is not a business, we only need help with chores i n the house and gardening tasks.

Es gibt immer was zu tun hier! Meistens sieht die Woche so aus: den Garten tränken, Unkraut entfernen, Kochen und aufräumen/putzen, füttern und spazieren mit den Hunden und zu den weiteren Tieren schauen, diverse Bauarbeiten im Haus, Spass haben bei der Arbeit.

Sehr willkommen wäre momentan eine geübte, hilfsbereite Person in Zimmereiarbeiten. Ich wünsche mir vertrauensvolle, verantwortungsbewusste Menschen, welche vorzugsweise älter als 25 Jahre sind und 2-3 Wochen bleiben.
Solange du offen und bereit bist Dinge zu lernen, bist du bestimmt fähig alles zu tun hier. Alleine und selbstständiges Arbeiten sowie Flexibilität ist ein Plus für dich. DIe Projekte wechseln ständig, aber ich versuche organisiert zu bleiben.
Wenn du gerne kochst, dann ist das ein super Pluspunkt. :)

Accommodation
You will stay in the volunteers' room (1-2 bed) furnished in an Indian style, with its own bathroom. Sharing the kitchen with me. Our home is simple, nice, comfortable and clean. We will share breakfast and dinner together, made by the workawayers.

The whole homestay farm is a NON-smoking, drug and alcohol-free zone. So I invite only people who are willing to be free of those during the time here. We also provide fresh spring water from a local well. Saturday and Sunday are free days.
There are public buses to the town and supermarkets. It is a great region for hiking tours.

Die ganze Homestay Farm ist ein Nichtraucher Areal und eine alkohol- und drogenfreie Zone. So heisse ich nur Menschen hier willkommen, welche gewillt sind frei von diesen Substanzen zu leben während dieser Zeit. Wir haben eine allgmeine Frischwasserquelle und haben immer frisches Trinkwasser, Tee und/oder Kaffee zur Verfügung
Es gibt öffentliche Busse zum Ort und auch Supermärkte, Bäckereien und Restaurants sindn in Gehdistanz. Es ist ebenfalls eine sehr schöne Region für Wanderungen.
