Description
PUPPY LOVE NEEDED! Female preferred from the 11th October till the 12th December 2025. Minimum of 2 weeks would be ideal, longer than that EVEN BETTER! We’re a laid-back happy family with 2 awesome girls, 9 and 12) and soon a new puppy (Cavoodle) which we need you to keep company while we are at work/school (temporarily) it will only be 9 weeks old though. We live in Mangere Bridge, Auckland – known as “the country in the city.” Our place is just 10 minutes from the airport and 20-ish minutes to the city. Right across the road from us is a Farm, where you can wander among the animals for free and just down the path is Kiwi Esplanade, perfect for walking, biking (we’ve got bikes you can use) Mangere Mountain is right on our doorstep too – an easy climb up for panoramic views of the harbor.
At home, there’s plenty of space to relax: a big covered deck, an outdoor spa for unwinding under the stars, a BBQ courtyard where my husband loves to do slow cooked barbeques on the weekends and enjoy a beer or two. You’ll have your own comfy private space in our sleepout, complete with a bed, TV, Wi-Fi, fridge, shower, and toilet. Up to you when you want to hang with us or totally understand when you want your space.Types of help and learning opportunities

I’m Australian, my husband’s a Kiwi, Weekends usually mean a cheeky glass of wine, catching up with friends, or getting outdoors. We’re big fans of nature — rainforest walks, beaches — and when the sun’s out and it’s a calm day you’ll often find us on the boat with the kids, water skiing, fishing, or just cruising. We also love eating out, discovering new spots, and enjoying a bit of live music. We also enjoy just a chill day at home.
We’re happy to pick you up from the airport and drop you back when it’s time to go if it works out with the timings.Help
The main reason we’re looking for a Workawayer is to help care for our new puppy while we’re at work. If you’ve got dog training experience, that’s a bonus, but not a requirement – mostly we just need someone kind, patient, and happy to give pup some cuddles so its not alone all day.
When the puppy is snoozing (which is often – they’re professional nappers), perhaps you can help out with little things around the house, like light housework, cooking if that's your thing, or maybe even a fun project. We’re flexible and happy to chat about what you’re interested in and what feels like a good fit.Languages
