Description
Urgently seeking 1/2 more Workawayers…from Monday 17th. Unfortunately we have been let down!!
Ciao! We are planting our first vineyard this June and we need help putting in the vine poles and planting 300 vines!
There is also a stone wall to be built, some fencing and 2 gates to be put in place.
We are quite remote, the village is a 15 minute drive not accessible by walking….but we will visit by car!!
Hope to hear from you!!
If you need a breathe of fresh mountain air and a change of scenery...look at our pics.....and if you are interested in helping out, are fit, energetic and don’t suffer allergies (we live in the middle of nature!!) please send a message!!
We love having fun lively interesting souls!!!!
We’ve spent 8 years restoring a stone farmhouse ......that’s us in the photo!
How does that all sound?? We hope this type of mixed skill project will appeal to maybe couples with different skills or single travelers looking to be part of a great group!!
We believe in having fun and eating well and showing you beautiful Abruzzo in reward for your amazing talents and help!! Sooooo if you have lots of enthusiasm and happy energy and are self motivated please come and join us.
The property has its own walks, through woods but there are also beautiful mountain walks literally a few metres from the house and further waterfalls and a river.
Abruzzo is a primarily rural region with the beautiful Adriatic coast and its long sandy beaches to the East and magnificent mountains to the west, with fields of olives and vineyards dominating the lower areas, and an abundance of beautiful nature in the mountains including eagles, chamois, bears and wolves.
Rome 2hrs away and Pescara 1 hr, historic Penne and Medieval Bisenti about half an hour...for all planes/trains and bus routes...really happy to collect and show you around after a cappucino e dolce in the piazza. Nearest town is 15/20 mins by car for bars/osteria/pizzeria/shops. Buildings are medieval but shopping is very modern Italian!Types of help and learning opportunities
GardeningDIY and building projectsGeneral MaintenanceCultural exchange and learning opportunities
Learning about the local foods/pasta/wine and cheeses.....all made on local farms and vineyards and country life in rural Italy first hand from our neighbours!!
We are 100m from 500sq km of National Park with Marsciano Bear, Wolves, Eagles, chamois and breathtaking landscapes.
Mountains to climb and trails to follow, waterfalls to explore ..and also the Adriatic sea with ancient trabbochi and working fishing port.
The Medieval castles and towers and monasteries and architecture are also a photographers dream whilst relaxing with a Cafe and dolce in a piazza in the Italian sunshine....even in the winter!!!Help
Help includes:
