    Description

    Are you looking to experience some of Canada's most stunning nature, living on an acreage with a wonderful family?

    We are excited to host a single person or couple on our acreage on the Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada.

    * We are looking for help doing some yard clean up and gardening anytime in June or July.
    * Construction and handyman skills would be a huge asset!
    * Help with cooking would also be wonderful!

    Just an 1.5 hour commute to downtown Vancouver, we are surrounded by beautiful hiking and mountain bike trails, beautiful beaches, where you can use our family's kayak and paddleboards! We also just live a 5 minute walk away from our local cidery which offers home brewed apple cider, kombucha and a whole menu of eats and treats!

    We also are in the process of selling our other vehicle so if you have a driver's license we can give you use of a car during your stay.

    We are a family of 4, Shannen, Jesse, Cillian (5) and Haydn (2).



    To let you know a little about us:
    - Shannen is an international development professional and runs a non-profit in Ghana, West Africa that focuses on empowering young female leaders. She speaks English, French and Spanish. She loves learning about new cultures, connecting with people from all kind of backgrounds, cultures and ages. She loves positive energy in the home, good food and music. She is passionate about social and environmental justice and deeply passionate about climate change and protecting biodiversity.

    - Jesse is a passionate about design and minimalism. He loves to cook, rock climb, and surf. He is interested in politics, psychology, photography and is an avid reader. He worked and lived with Shannen in Ghana for years, and has also loves traveling and meeting people from different places.

    - Cillian (5) and Haydn (3) are best friends and love spending their time reading, playing at the beach, and discovering insects and animals.

    We are happy to share our culture and have family dinners where we tell stories, laugh and share together. Jesse can share his design and building knowledge. Shannen can share her stories about her work in Ghana. We are happy to engage in a language exchange as well!

    We are just 1.5 hours outside of Vancouver. We live in one of the most beautiful places if you love the outdoors and nature :)

    We have access to kayaks and paddle boards you can use at your leisure. We have some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Canada!

    We live next door to a cidery which is a great community space, has live music, home brewed cidery, and great food.

    We are 10 minutes from a bus stop but we also have an extra car for you to use!
