Description
We are an international Czech-French family based in Prague, in a house that's gone from generation to generation over the past nearly 100 years. After having lived in different parts of Europe (Denmark, France), we are back to live fully in this charming neighbourhood of Prague.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Cultural exchange is our daily bread, given the fact that we are a mixed international family. However, we enjoy spicying up our "bilateral" exchanges with a third-party input - it's so inspiring to be asked new questions, to share untold stories, to get a new angle of view upon our everyday life. We are ready to share our activities with you - it will enrich our life as well. We are talking about hiking, biking, canoeing in the summer, skiing in the winter, going to the local sauna and sightseeing in Prague and the rest of the Czech Republic.

Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
The help is marked a lot by the season - in the spring there's a lot to do in our eco garden and yard and that's true throughout the summer and autumn months. In the wintertime, we'll concentrate more on home improvement, decluttering, sorting and clearning. On an everyday basis, there's our dog to be taken care of (what a pleasure!) and our son is still in need of some accompanying here and there.

Well, I'm note quite sure what this would mean but let's say that yes, we can exchange our languages, hahaha.
Accommodation
At this point you will sleep in a small room with a view of the garden and a balcony where birds come to take their breakfast. We've been using it as an office and storage space so it needs some upgrades but it's comfortable and warm. There might be a possibility to use a separate apartment downstairs, which we rent on an irregular basis, but that depends on its availability.
You'll have your meals with us - breakfast at around 7am before our son goes to school, lunch at around noon-1pm (often a warm meal) and dinner at around 6-7pm (warm meal or a salad, soup, bread with cheese or other goodies).
What else ...
We live in Prague district 4, Spořilov. It is 10-minutes walk away from the nearest metro station and then 15 minutes metro ride from downtown. Prague in itself can be a source of entertainment for many weeks but we also like to explore the rest of the Czech Republic, a cute small country that has a lot to offer.
House rules include no smoking and no drugs, and alcohol only reasonably. We typically take our outdoor shoes off at the entrance, something that most Czechs do. We try to be as environmentally friendly as possible in a big city - sorting garbage, composting, not wasting too much water and electricity - those are some of the guidelines.

Best dog ever! White German Spitz who loves to be loved and loves unconditionally. A healer, a friend, a joker. Best dog ever - or have I already said that?

First of all, the house is located in a very peaceful area of Prague 4! You can reach the city center in 30 minutes with the metro and explore the beautiful city of Prague, all while being in a sort of village, with houses with gardens, a small church, a school, a grocery store, etc...
