Description
Hej!
Småland is a region known for its dense forest, many lakes and typical red painted houses. I moved here and live here for horses! I live on an old family farm with my two horses and my dog. I take care of my animals, offering them the best quality of life I can whilst keeping the landscape beautiful and open as it is.
I am a retired teacher and I moved here twenty years ago.

I live next to the forest and a beautiful lake. There are many walks to explore. You will have lots of free time and space to explore nature and with a little bit of luck you might spot a deer or a moose!
I live 10km away from a small city called Nässjö where there are the basics (cafe, bowling, cinema) and during winter there is skating in some spots and also cross-country trails. The next big city is Jönköping which is next to Swedens deepest lake Vättern. It's a nice city by the water.
I can give you access to a car to explore surroundings.Help
Mainly, I would like some help with the horses during the colder months. It would consist in taking in and out the horses, feeding, brushing and changing covers, and mucking the stables.
I am an 80-something young person and the winters can be a bit tricky as my strength doesn't always follow my will! My idea would be to get some help in the daily tasks with the horses, and in exchange give out knowledge on how I manage and tend to my horses. An insight on how it is to live with horses and what their needs are. There might be other small projects, like fixing fences or changing some planks on the stable. There is space and tools so ideas are also welcome!Languages

Besides horses, languages have been my passion! I am originally from the south of Sweden but lived for a long time in Stockholm where I studied French and German. I then worked as a highschool teacher. I love to practice my French, but can practice other languages if you wish.Accommodation
You would live in my house and have the second floor for yourselves which consists of three bedrooms.
Shared kitchen and bathroom. The house is not very big, but you can access the second floor by a separate entrance and the bathroom is accessible through two doors, so it is possible to be quite independent if wished!
I will provide food and am flexible with different diets, you cook for yourself and take what is needed. What else ...
As you can see, the work load is not so heavy but there is lots to do if you enjoy nature! I will show you how everything works and will always be there, but I think it is good if you are independent as well.
Do not hesitate if you want to discuss of anything or have any questions. Welcome!A little more information
