We are now looking for a couple from now through Sept 29th.
You will need to have some "handy man" skills. Light carpentry, light electric (replacing ceiling fan and/or plugs) and minor plumbing knowledge.
My name is Laura. I was born here but raised on the east coast. I have been back here since 1989.
Hawaii is gorgeous and you will be in Paradise. Here on the Big island we have a laid back life style.
the project will be exterior painting projects.
I am a real estate agent and work mostly from home. I have one cat, Cutie who goes in or out as she pleases.
I also foster kittens (one at a time) for the Humane society.
Help around the house
We will interact doing these projects together and we will be happy to teach you about the Hawaiian culture, how to care for tropical plants and experiencing a tropical Polynesian climate.
You will be surrounded by tropical plants, birds and you will learn about the Hawaiian history, the Volcanoes that make up the island. If you like I will be happy to take you on a tour of the Volcanoes National Park, the botanical gardens, Lyman museum or the Tsunami museum.
I will be happy to pick you up at Hilo airport. I hope to learn about your country or your area of the USA.
My home on the market and will need help with packing and moving to my near by rental house.
We will then be fixing up that home.
We will be doing interior painting, fixing windows, some house cleaning and repairing anything that needs it. I do not know all until I get into the house. In the yard there will be cutting, trimming, pruning the bushes and trees.
I will provide room with bath & separate entrance plus two meals a day for a couple. What seems to work best is 5 hours a day for 25 hours a week. The evenings and weekends will be your own time to explore and enjoy the island life.
Please read the entire Description which will tell you that you have your own cooking facilities and a barbecue.
