Description
The farm is an organic olive farm located 45km from Amman, in Jerash mountains-Jordan. The farm also has citrus and fruit trees and grows seasonal vegetables. Sheep, Geese, Ducks, and Chicken are also bred on the farm and are allowed free grazing.
In the Jeftlek farm we host volunteers during two main seasons through the year.
“Enjoy the Farm Spring” season
which starts early March till mid June. Work in spring includes preparing the land for spring and summer planting, watering, weeding, field crops harvesting, shepherding and taking care of newly born sheep and chicken.
“The Joy of Olive Harvesting” season
which starts early September and lasts till mid December, work involves Olive picking, tree pruning, plant irrigation, animal care, cooking, and housekeeping.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
In each season the farm hosts (6-8) farm lovers / volunteers to participate in the farm activities. The farm will provide lodging and organic food is provided, work is around 5 hours/ day, 5 days per week and volunteers will have free time to visit Dibeen's forest reserve, Jerash mountains, and Jerash archaeological sites. Minimum stay is for three weeks and volunteers who can stay for longer periods are preferred.

The farm is so close to Dibeen reserve forest, volunteers will enjoy the serenity of the place.
Volunteers can also visit the old Roman ruins (The long colonnaded street, Hadrian's Arch,hippodrome, large temples (dedicated to Zeus and Artemis), theaters, baths, churches, and more).
There is also the museum which houses a small but worthwhile selection of artifacts from the site, such as mosaics, glass, gold jewelry and coins. All items on display are well labelled in English
Volunteers can also buy handmade products from the local shops, enjoy the Lebanese food in the near restaurant.
It is a great experience to exchange cultural knowledge, practice language and learn with joy.A little more information
