We deliver innovative educational arts programs to children in marginalized communities in Sri Lanka, to bring about their psycho-social rehabilitation from trauma and deliver real lasting change. These children are survivors of war, disaster, and endemic poverty. We are an established registered England and Wales charity with significant experience delivering such programs.
Please check our calendar for up to date times for when we need certain volunteers. We are only looking for:

All volunteers will be provided with cultural awareness training from community leaders and trained teachers and artists. Volunteers will benefit from real mutual social learning, living, working and socializing with the community and these incredible resilient children. They will have intimate experience of the local cultural, customs, and wildlife of Sri Lanka, and will take part in active projects to share alternative ideas and culture with the children and staff. We provide a unique opportunity to experience the North and East of Sri Lanka. There is travel and exchanges between various locations in Sri Lanka. There will also be time for independent travel, which we will provide support for.
We are seeking educators, Capoeiristas, dancers, actors, martial artists, artists, sports persons, English teachers, and yoga teachers. Volunteers will be part of a team of talented, passionate, and progressive individuals, helping in the field with the community to deliver educational arts programs. We welcome the full range of informal and alternative, as well as formal, qualifications and experiences. We are looking for volunteers to commit between 3-5 hours per day, 5-6 days a week for at least 2-3 weeks. We are looking for volunteers who can plan and deliver artistic, creative, teaching, sports, or psycho-social rehabilitative activities to these resilient children, and who are open to learning about life and unity from them.
