Hello!
My name is Jeannine, and our family of 4 is looking for a summer helper to assist with childminding in our home. In our family is my husband who works full time as an airplane mechanic, our two young boys (both under 3), and myself who is currently on leave from work.

My husband and I have lived on Vancouver Island our whole lives and we are excited to share our stories and experiences. This summer we would like to take our boys to explore lakes, oceans, family events, and other experiences on Vancouver Island so we are happy to have you with us to show you how beautiful our home is. We are also very flexible with our schedule so if you would like to take a couple days to explore Vancouver Island on your own, we encourage it!

Help
We are seeking someone who would like to spend quality time with our two small boys (ages under 1 year and 3 years old) and helping with light household chores such as tidying toys. I will be home most days so I will always be available and nearby. Our goals this summer are to renovate our basement, declutter our house, and to create a fun, landscaped backyard for our family to enjoy this summer. I have lots of plans for myself on things I'd like to accomplish, you just get to play!

We are happy to host anyone from all countries, you just may hear Cantonese spoken a little bit while you are here as we are introducing our eldest son to the language.
Accommodation
We have a separate bachelor style room in our home with a bed, fridge, sink, and bathroom for your use. It has two doors to be accessible from both the inside and outside with interior locks. I am happy to cook and provide all main meals, and we like to eat together as a family every evening.
What else ...
We live in a central area that is walking distance to mall complexes, grocery stores, and bus stations that can bring you to other parts of town or even the island. You will have lots of free time to join in on our family activities or to explore yourself if that's what you prefer. The Comox Valley is known for its terrain for outdoor activities including hiking at Mt. Washington, mounting biking in Cumberland, and many beautiful walking trails such as Nymph Falls and Seal Bay.
We are a family who respects communication and transparency, and we are excited to welcome you into our home!
