Hannah was such a help to our family from the moment she arrived. She immediately bonded with the kids by literally getting down to their level and playing. She showed her initiative and intelligence in helping us in our busy family routine and was ways patient and in good humour and it was such a pleasure to host her and show her Irish culture

Staying with Ann, Noel and their kids was a great experience. From the beginning I felt like a member of the family and the kids are lovely. They are sometimes busy but always easy-going and the tasks are simple. During my free time we visited several local spots and events which was great for the cultural exchange.

My stay with Ann, Noel, Ellie and Peadar was a very interesting experience. I was the first workawayer to hibernate throughout the winter months, which was a little challenge for myself, because of the cold weather and the restricted activities. Ann is a very empathic, grounded person who helped me with improving my English. I really liked our cooking sessions, going to the grocery store and our hikes together. Friendly Noel was always good for a dicussion, a relaxed evening or for watching a hurling match. They both made sure that I was having a good time and gave me lifts to many places. Ellie is a very bright and active girl, whereas Peadar is just an adorable toddler.
The tasks were easy to manage, most of the time I helped with minding the kids, cleaning and tidying, but I also did some uncomplicated outdoor jobs. You should be aware of the very rural surrounding before going there, but the scenery in Offaly is simply unique and that's why I enjoyed my walks (sometimes with dog Millie) in my free time very much.

I enjoyed staying with Ann and Noel so much that I was revisiting them at the end of my Ireland-trip.
I really learned a lot about the Irish culture and the both were always willing to show me everything the midlands had to offer. I had so much fun with them. Also the work was always very fair.

Offaly has many things and places that should be seen and you are the best place to stay. Helping you didn`t really feel like "work". I enjoyed the things I could do and learned a lot of things for my life!
