Description
We're on Banks Peninsula just outside Christchurch, and we're looking for someone or a couple to help us on our lifestyle block. We are Jon and Eunice, originally from the UK, and our 8 year old Joseph. We are 5mins walk to our local, quiet beach (Purau) and 40mins from Christchurch either driving or ferry/bus.
We've got 2 hectares where we have sheep, fruit trees and gardens, with beautiful views and birdsong.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are keen to ensure our son learns about different cultures and languages. We love to get to know new people and share and laughProjects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We would love to have some help clearing some trees and bushes which have gone a bit wild in places. We have also had some big pine trees dropped which need splitting with our new log splitter. There could be some other general gardening, and maybe occasional childcare if that suits.

Haven't spoken these in many years, so very rusty!Accommodation
Accommodation is in a self contained cottage with double bedroom, bathroom inc shower, living room with TV, heat pump and super fast internet. The cottage is close to the main house, but provides full privacy.
We provide food. We provide breakfast, lunch and shared family dinner. We are happy to accommodate vegetarians / vegansWhat else ...
There are lots of amazing beaches and local walks here. It's amazing to live 40mins from the biggest city on the South Island but be in such a rural area.
Having a transport is a good idea, although there is a ferry & bus into Christchurch, there is a 5min drive to get to the terminal.A little more information
