Hello workawayers!
My husband is a veterinary, I used to run my own English school. Our son is 22 years old and studying to become a veterinary too. We love the Country Life, on and around the farm we have a lot of animals: sheep, cows, horses, hens, dogs, a cat and a huge flora and fauna such as wild owls or austriches. If you like it's also possible to go horseback-riding or fishing. Our farm is located in the centre of the ''bioma pampa'', the natural landscape of South Brazil.

While staying with us, you will experience the rural Gaúcho life in the middle of the Pampa. There are hundreds of cattles and sheeps in the fields around and we are happy to share our knowledge about them.
Our Fazenda takes place close to the way through the Brazilian/Argentinian border: that´s why our culture is a mixture of both of them, which you will get an impression from.
Living with us, you will get the real Gaúcho experience. From feeding and taking care of the animals to fixing fences and horseback riding: the days are going to be rich in variety. Besides that, you can always help in and around the house, planting, watering or building something new. We would like to receive people who have ideas and take the initiative. I'm also happy to try out new recipes so you're welcome to cook! Being involved in the ABHB (Associação Brasileira de Hereford e Braford) it would be interesting to receive people from around the world with prior experience in breeding cattles. Personally, I'd like to keep up and brush up my English skills so I prefer native speakers or people with a high knowledge of English.

You'd be staying in the guest house with your bathroom, situated right next to our house where we'll eat and spend time togheter. Most of the time you would have the little house for yourself, except for when we have friends and/or family over. We are very glad to live here and are doing our best to keep the place nice and clean.
We are about 100 km away from the Urugain and Argentinian boarder, in Rio Grande do Sul. Our farm is located about 40 minutes to Alegrete, to get there you can catch a bus from Porto Alegre which is an about 5 hr long ride.
