    Description

Hi! We are a Farm, a project with the vision of bringing community together inspired by nature. The farm was purchased recently and we are still in the beginning stages of growth. Currently we are a group of 4 living here (One brother and his sister who lives part time here and tends the wildflower gardens, and two other brothers hailing from the midwest) all in our mid 20s-early 30s. We have a vision of creating a community hub of sort; bringing together individuals from the local area as well as traveling folks who want to assist in community projects.

We would like to have the farm be a place for gathering community together, sharing resources, friendship and help working on common goals. Some of the ideas we have include: Community Gardens, Trade Meet ups, Building Projects using natural or reclaimed material (We are currently planning a clay oven and sweat-lodge build), Nature trails with educational aspects and most importantly a friendly atmosphere to share with others! We are passionate about nature, health and exercise and enjoy going on hikes, rock climbing, running, sports etc. often. We currently have a large wildflower garden and numerous vegetable beds scattered about, and a newly built chicken coop currently housing 5 chickens. We are learning about mushroom cultivation and experimenting with various techniques and would welcome anyone with a knowledge/experience in gardening or mushroom cultivation. We also are very interested in wild fermented foods/beverages and preserving food through fermentation. We are planning on painting some large murals on one or both of the old farm silos onsite so anyone with an artistic eye would be encouraged to express their creativity here. We enjoy making music and Most of all we would just like to share this journey with others and build upon what each individual can bring to our collective vision.

The produce we are harvesting is for our own consumption. We cannot offer any monetary compensation at this time.
