Description
Hello,
We’re looking for someone to house-sit for a few days at Christmas (22- 28 December) and take care of our animals; a small dog, (mini schnauzer called Dotty), 3 cats,(Rufus, Lenny & Maurice), 2 goats, (Chris & Carla) 15 hens and a pony, Tempo. All very easy.
They are all friendly but we ask that you have previous experience with animals, and particularly with handling ponies and mucking out stables (there will be no riding involved).
Farm location in rural Normandy, you will need a car or be happy to use a bike (nearest shop is 2.5km) and you must have health insurance.
The house is equipped with an Aga and log burner, lovely for the festive season.
Looking forward to hearing from you, KateTypes of help and learning opportunities

My first Workaway experience and straight away great one!
Delicious meals, horse riding events, taking care of the "boys" (ponies) and hanging around with Dotty and cats.
Beautiful conversations with amazing people and just great place to be in.
I felt like a part of the family.

They are above and beyond hard-working; no physical task was ever too much for them, whether chopping huge hedges, cleaning junk out of barns, painting, weeding, taking care of the animals - they took on all tasks with great willingness and always… read more
