    Description

    LIVE!, DONT EXIST!!!

Good day, my name is KATON and I hail from the majestic Eastern Himalayas. I am honored to introduce myself as ABORMAN, an esteemed Travel Mentor of the region. My expertise lies in the breathtaking Siang valley, the awe-inspiring SIANG GORGE, the rich history of the Abor people, the complex inter-Tribal relations, the intriguing Anglo-ABOR interactions, the diverse Abor geography, and the fascinating migrations that have shaped these lands over millennia.

I belong to the noble PASI clan and the distinguished Moyong sub-tribe. I am the 37th generation custodian of our cherished ABOR heritage spanning over two millennia.

We Abors are a proud and fierce people who have safeguarded these valleys for thousands of years. Why, just two centuries ago, armed only with bows, arrows, swords, and spears, my great grandfathers defended our homelands against the mighty arsenal of the British Empire.

It would be my honor to connect with the descendants of those British officers who witnessed the valor of my ancestors firsthand. While much has changed, the spirit of our people remains unyielding.

To enter our remote realms still requires a special permit, continuing a tradition started by the British in 1873. This regulation protects the fragile ecology and the indigenous communities dwelling in these parts. I would be happy to assist you with the permit process, be it online or through the designated regional offices.

To put it poetically, our land is a convergence of the Amazon forests and the Andes mountains. We are home to 26 major tribes and countless sub-groups, a anthropologist's paradise. Our unique flora and fauna attract biologists from around the world. Our location at the edge of the young Himalayas offers geologists and seismologists rare insights.

The weather here is extreme, from torrential monsoons to pleasant winters. We are nestled between the tropical forests of India and the cold Tibetan plateau. Truly, this frontier contains multitudes.

My sole purpose is to preserve our ancestral heritage against the encroaching interests of corporations. I wish to have an open discussion about upholding indigenous rights when you visit us.

As I always say - "It is often in the frontiers that you will find the world."

I look forward to hosting you in our homelands and sharing our culture. Please feel free to contact me if you need any assistance with travel arrangements or permitting. I wish you safe travels and a memorable journey of discovery.

    Regards,
    Aborman
