Description
We are artisan wine makers in a beautiful volcanic area by the lake Balaton. We work with our vineyards, permaculture garden, orchard and the wine making - all organic. During summers, we host wining & dining guests, serving vegetarian Indian and Middle Eastern dinners from our garden.
We are self tought and we enjoy inspiring others wishing to embark on their own rural life journeys.
With us you can learn about organic farming techniques - soil care, biodiversity and organic spraying methods in vineyards and in vegetable growing; wine making with old and modern artisanal methods, as well as wine tasting ;). And, leading a vegetarian kitchen with all its perks.
If you are thinking of trying out a country life, gardening, vegetarianism, or you plan to have your own vineyards and a winery some day, you will enjoy the stay with us. We very much like to learn new ways of doing things, so please also help us to improve!
About us: Aron is a well travelled DJ and Karina is a professional in sustainable design. We came here to live a more fulfilling life, to experience beauty, to be healthy and strong in spirit.

We ourselves are a well travelled couple settled as wine makers. Our community is international likeminded people trying to live sustainably. The various old crafts, like shoe making, cheese making, wood carving and masonry are still in use here. With us you can learn about organic vineyards and wine making craft, about permaculture gardening and farmer's produce, and about cooking delicious vegetarian meals. We renovated an old wine press-house into an efficient and sustainable home and we landscaped neglected plot into a vineyard, an orchard and terraced gardens. We will be happy to exchange all our knowledge with you.

Help
From May to October, for three years now, our volunteers have been coming here to learn about starting from building stone walls, or a DIY greenhouse, to cooking a nutritios meal directly from the garden. Some help around keeping the garden tidy, as well as some come to top up their knowledge about complete wine making process, but they all have left with delicious recipes. Each month offers different opportunities, so please ask us what meets your interests the best!

Accommodation
We offer you our sauna cabin set in an orchard at the edge of a vineyard with a beatiful view to the surrounding area. The cabin is small, clean and light, equipped with a double bed. You are also welcome to use our shaded outdoor living spaces with stunning views to the volcano and the lake. Around 20 min walk down to the local village with a grocary store and an excellent bakery. We will share our meals with you or you can cook your own in our outdoor kitchen.
What else ...
Our winery is located on a beautiful volcano 5km from lake Balaton, 7km from Tapolca town. There are plenty of tracking paths through the stunning Kali Basin, and there is a popular paragliding location nearby. 20km from us is the biggest thermal lake in Eirope, Heviz. We are surrounded by vineyards and social events and wine & gastro festivals are never in short supply. We are also surrounded by various organic farmers, therefore our vegetarian meals are well balanced mostly made of locally sourced and our own grown ingredients.
We love delicious food, good wine and music and late summer evenings, but we respect the peace and quietness at night on our hill unspoilt by lights and sounds of a town. Here, you can be alone with your thoughts, or your book, we very much respect privacy.

I learned a lot from you tow, the work on a vine jard (green work), some gardening and cooking. It's a lovely place to stay and learn more about great bio vine and life.
