Hello potential Workaway host

My name is Kelly (some people say: easy-going, hard worker, funny, independent, practical, good cook, always ready to help out where needed).

As a workawayer, I can offer help with lighter tasks (cleaning up, weeding , watering, taking the dog for a walk, playing a game of UNO with the kids, basically small things to take the edge off your hectic day - emptying the dishwasher - cooking a meal... I'm ready to jump right in, and do what needs to be done. All those "boring" things that you could use a helping hand with are fine by me.

Born and raised in the US, I have been mostly living in Italy for quite some time (I have dual US/EU citizenship).

Past work experience includes: running a farm (sheep, chickens, pigs, donkey - making and selling cheese and bread), working as a secretary for the CEO of a small company, freelance translator (working from home - not always mine- for over 15 years), filling in for an Airbnb host over the winter (handling reservations, welcoming people, cleaning up after people, etc.), caregiver during end of life process for family and friends, paid caregiver. And now, a part-time gramma.

My main languages are English and Italian.
My German was once very good, but now pitiful. My Spanish is very poor, although I can almost get by if I have an idea of what the discussion is about (some hand gestures may be required).

Generally speaking, I am not a hardcore anything as far as eating habits, spiritually, politics goes. Moderation, flexibility and doing my best to make the most out of any situation is how I role.

I have a good eye for seeing what needs to be done and doing it. I understand that I am a guest at your place so ultimately you are the boss and we do things your way.
No hand-holding required through each task.

I do smoke. I won't in your house or on your property if you don't want me to.
