Beschreibung

Hi ! We are Anouchka and Léo, we've been in a relationship since 2021. We live in the middle of France, in the beautiful Limousin region near to Limoges . We do this gap year to take a break in our work and studies. We want to broaden our horizons and learn many things from you !
Our dream is one day to live as much as possible self-sufficient in a patch of land in France. This is why we are particularly interested in the way of life off grid and all we can learn around this (food conservation, water system off grid, gardening, breeding animals etc etc).
We are activists for the ecological and environmental cause.
We pay attention to what we eat and we spend a lot of time cooking even if sometimes we are really tired of our work day... We both work in construction so often our days are quite long haha !
We love hiking so we are sensitive to what surrounds us and we love to take care of that.
We like playing board games, visiting museums, listening to music, dancing (we dance the argentine tango), cooking (and of course eating), reading and spending time outside ! We both are manual Anouchka crochet and Léo sew (he wants to learn knitting).
If you can teach us some history and tradition from your country it will be a pleasure to learn that !
We are joyful, involved, independent and curious !
We are in a hurry to meet you !

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I, Anouchka, am a professional woodworker. I have been doing this work for two years (and I'm not finished learning). I made doors, windows or shutters in wood and installed them. I also made a lot of interior layout (like dressing, kitchen etc), some wooden floors and stairs (I don't have a smartphone so unfortunately I don’t have many photos of my work...).
I grew up in an old house where there was always something to do like painting, tiling etc…
I also grew up with many animals (sheep, dogs, goats, horses…) and I really like to take care of them, live on the farm and work outside ! I already know some things about gardening but I really want to learn more !
I am a good salty cooker (not really the sweet one, Léo is way better than me haha).
I already have some volunteer experience, when I was 18 years old I traveled in the Czech Republic, Germany and Spain for a few months with Workaway.

I, Léo, am a professional carpenter since my 15 years old. In my work I do wood frame structure, insulation and roofing. I am used to drawing and doing construction site design.
I grew up in the Apls near Annecy. I’m manual, I sew and I love bake cake. I feel good in nature and I like to look the landscapes. I did a lot of climbing and skiing. I like take care of children.
I like to talk and learn from others, even though I don’t speak very good English. But I want to learn and communicate as much as possible with you.
For my travel I would like to learn to take care of the garden and farm animals for our goals in self-sufficiency. I am overflowing with joy of life and easy going !

We both have a driving licence but we won't take our car and we will come by bus/train. We won't take any plane.

We both love the company of children.

It will be a pleasure to share our knowledge with you and be involved in a project !
We look forward to discovering another way of life !
