Beschreibung

Hi there! I was born and raised in Amsterdam but I have always been enjoying nature. Currently I have a gap year and I am looking forward to spending part of it in Spain. I like to put in hard work when it's something I enjoy doing. I am very good with animals and love working with them. I speak basic Spanish, C2 English and native Dutch. I enjoy drawing, bouldering, kickboxing and surfing. Every now and then I pick up a new hobby that will last up to a few months like drumming, lockpicking, woodcarving, running, learning to play on the keyboard or mixology (making fancy cocktails). I think I can say as well that I am quite handy. I help my dad a lot painting or installing a new power outlet or soldering. And I really enjoy fixing things.I am rather creative and I care for the planet. I am quite social and always up for new experiences. I want to come to Spain to have new experiences different from the ones I am used to.
Furthermore, I have not decided upon whether I would like to study Industrial Design or Psychobiology.

Update:
Did a workaway in Spain and 2 in Indonesia. Both were fantastic! This summer I'm looking for a new workaway in Spain where I can combine my passion for surfing with some new experiences. I'll happily help in any way possible and am looking forward to cultural exchanges.

I would love to teach English. I have some experience teaching kids Dutch. I really enjoyed doing this, and in each lesson I tried to introduce something fresh and engaging to keep the kids excited about learning. Update: In Indonesia I helped to teach kids English for about a month as well.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am handy with tools like screwdriver, hammer, paintbrush, saw, soldering iron etc.
I have a good eye for how things work.
I am very good with animals and love to be around them
I can draw and am learning woodcarving
I am not the best cook but if necessary, I would be able to prepare some basic meals.
I can fix bicycles
I can teach kids English and Dutch ( I have taught both before)
With the right amount of explanation, I can do any chore
I have harvested olives before with a petrol engine
I am always up for an adventure!

Was noch ...

I’ve always been pretty sporty. Growing up, I have tried all kinds of activities — from field hockey and karate to breakdancing, freerunning, kickboxing, and bouldering. And currently I'm deeply in love with surfing :)
