***LOOKING FOR GREAT HOSTS FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER***

*******ONLY JAPAN*******
I am working in a hostel in Sendai right now :)

My name is Miriam, and I am a Spanish woman living in Ireland, where I have been working as a Kindergarten Teacher since July 2023. Although I am happy with my life here, I think it is time for a change—a BIG one. This will be my very first time being a Workawayer, and I couldn’t be more excited to use this amazing platform to go to Japan, my dream destination.

Long story short: I had my WHV ready to use in March 2020, but Covid happened, so it got cancelled (yes, I can get a new one). Time flies, and I started 2025 saying this would be the year I go to Japan.

I’ve always been interested in Japanese culture. Like many others, I started by watching anime and immediately fell in love with the language. Now I am more interested in architecture, food, fashion, and the people. I feel that there is no better experience than living in a country for a long time and learning about it first-hand. I would love to do community work, help a family with kids, or assist in a local shop or guesthouse/onsen while discovering local culture, shrines, and savouring local street foods. I’m passionate about sharing experiences and exchanging knowledge. We can truly learn from one another :)
And, of course, any host that gives me opportunities to practise my Japanese will be more than welcome!

I'm looking for hosts all around Japan for around two months so I can explore different cities and areas.

*When it comes to work I am a very RELIABLE person as I take pride in doing things right and seeing my good results.

*I am a CREATIVE person who enjoys arts and crafts the most. I do crochet, embroidery, scrapbooks and more

*I am a toddler teacher, so you can tell I have a lot of PATIENCE! This has also helped me improve my problem-solving skills as well as my ability to improvise.

*By nature, I'm really CURIOUS to learn new skills from different people

*When it comes to HOUSEWORK I am confident. I love taking care of my home and myself by keeping things tidy, cleaning, doing laundry, and so on

*COOKING is one of my biggest skills. I started a year ago, and I’ve mastered a few recipes which I always get compliments on. :)

*As for LANGUAGES, my mother tongue is Spanish. I have been working using English for a few years now, and I am learning Japanese! I would love to practise it. :)
