Dear Workaway-Community,
I joined the website in order to explore new places, learn new skills and meet inspiring people. I recently quit my job as a research consultant for the german government in Berlin and I'm currently figuring out how to proceed with my professional career and life in general. Therefore I want to spend some time abroad participating in passion projects of others and get inspired by new perspectives and approaches to life.
I'm an open-minded and easy-going human who loves to connect to others via doing and creating things together. This also includes tasks of physical work which I do like as an active person. I'm hardworking and reliable, enjoying to work together as a group and reaching common goals. However due to my calm and indepentend character, I need on a regular basis space and time for myself to reflect and recharge.
I have broad interest in many different areas and love making new experiences. Movement is my muse that's why I do a lot of different sports including (rock) climing, surfing, yoga, running, slacklining, etc. Spending time in the nature is also very important to me, which I do via hikes, vantrips and camping/climbing adventures.
For my upcoming workaway experience I would love to be integrated in a project related to agriculture and sustainability featuring some eco-building and wood work tasks. Even though I already have some knowledge in wood crafing, it would be amazing to learn some new things either from or together with someone else.
I will be on Sardina by mid/end of March and want to stay on the island till mid May.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since the selfmade conversion of my van I bought with two close friends of mine 6 years ago a major hobby of mine is the work with wood. I finished couple of wood projects in the past years including the van conversion, a foldable table, two wooden (indoor) platforms and helped in the professional wood workshop of a friend who designs and builds interior designs of bars and restaurants in Berlin. Therefore I have some experience in planning and implementing wood projects and the handling of all kinds of related tools.
Moreover I helped in organizing a non-profit, participatory music festival with 200 guests for the last three years and build/decorated a stage on that festival with a group of friends. As a result I know how to cooperate as a group on non-profit projects and how to create and arrange a creative and cozy safe space.
I also love cooking and was already in charge of preparing meals for up to 30 people.
