Hello!
My name is Fernanda, and I am Franco-Mexican (originally from Mexico but I’ve spent almost half of my life living in France).
I have a cheerful personality, a little reserved at first, but once I feel more comfortable, my curiosity and sense of humor shine through. I worked for several years in NGOs in both France and Mexico, tackling a wide variety of topics ranging from fair trade and supporting small producers to the economic integration of refugees. This past year, I decided to take a break from work to train in energy-efficient home renovation, with a focus on addressing energy poverty.

I have always had a strong interest in heritage (both tangible and intangible), and I would love to contribute to revitalizing small towns and historic city centers through the sustainable renovation of their old houses and buildings, particularly from a self-renovation perspective. I believe this is a great way to build community and integrate new members into it.

I love traveling, discovering new cultures, and learning languages (even if just a few words). One of my goals is to explore new places while simultaneously learning about traditional construction and renovation techniques unique to each location.

The second is to continue learning more about the cultures and people who inhabit the places I visit, while also sharing some of what I have learned throughout my life.

All of this, along with many other topics, is what makes me happy!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I love sharing knowledge. For a while, I conducted several workshops on entrepreneurship and job integration for refugees.
Before and during my university studies, I worked as an au pair and nanny with several families, where I gained valuable experience working with children. I always had very positive experiences during this time.
Although I still have a lot to learn about DIY and hands-on projects, I really enjoy working with my hands, and it’s something I’d like to develop further. I have participated in a few restoration projects for historical monuments, and every time I was taught something new, I would dedicate myself to it with great care. I am very detail-oriented in general, and I enjoy applying this quality to everything I do.
