I'm Annalisa from Italy and I'm currently looking for a volunteering experience to meet people from all over the world, travel to new places and have the time of my life!

Beschreibung

Hi! My name is Annalisa, I am 24 and I come from Florence, Italy. With Workaway, I would love to connect to new people, meeting new friends all over the world and have some unforgettable experiences! I would like to help hosts in any way I can and to learn some new skills. I have a master's degree in Teaching Italian to foreigners, and what motivates me in my job is both to help people reach their goals, but also to make connections and to open an intercultural dialogue. After all, learning another language is about discovering another culture, and getting to know different ways of living is very interesting to me and really brings me happiness. So, I would like to do the same during my Workaway experiences: to help each other, share our stories and grow together. As far as hobbies, I have a more introverted side that loves reading, writing and watching movies, and an extroverted side that finds happiness in hiking, travelling, being in nature with friends and cooking a meal with some loved ones. I am used to do some physical work in the countryside because I have been helping my family since I was a kid (especially olive picking and harvesting) but I am also able to do teaching and reception work, and I would love to learn more skills! I would describe myself as an adventurous and spontaneous person, although I can be somewhat shy and introverted at first, but I open myself up in little time and with the right people. I am a quick learner, I love to work in a team and I'm always down to giving someone a hand. I am passionate about intercultural experiences, meeting people from all over the world, sharing our thoughts about different topics. I have never participated in Workaway before but I am looking forward to start as soon as possible! I have had the chance and the privilege to travel a lot since I was a kid, both alone and with loved ones, I have also studied abroad and I have lived in Spain for a total of one year. I've always wanted to do some volunteering work abroad and I feel like now is the best time for me! I am looking forward to start my Workaway journey!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I would say that my skills span from practical ones to some more intellectual ones. When I think of myself, the first thing that comes to mind is probably my education journey, because I have always focused a lot on studying: I have a bachelor's degree in Foreign languages and literature, and a master's degree in Teaching Italian to foreigners. I'd say that one of my talents is picking up a foreign language in order to learn how to communicate with people, and also teaching my native language (Italian) and the foreign languages I know best (English and Spanish). I would love in the future to learn some new languages during my Workaways. I have work experience in teaching, working at a reception, translating and working with tourists and customers. I also have some babysitting experience and I have taught Italian to kids, as well as teenagers and adults. I have always worked in a team and I believe I am very capable at actively listening to others and working out a solution together. As far as more practical skills, I have been doing some work since I was a kid in my grandparents' home in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. That includes olive picking, harvesting, weeding and gardening, finding berries and wild asparagus in the woods, taking care of chickens. I also love photography and I am starting now to use a camera to take some more professional pictures.
