I had a great time hosting Kath. She was super company. Helped me in the garden and around the home. Worked particularly well. We have some lovely evening together and she taught me some card games which I really enjoyed playing. Welcome back anytime and highly recommend.

I had an amazing time in the month that I stayed here at village – it felt like all my fantasies had come alive in this beautiful place. I spent a lot of my time with the wonderful Megumi-san, as well as with the host Toyomi-san. It was a very quiet month and was very hot so I spent a lot of time cleaning and helping with cooking, as well as a little bit gardening, then doing this in my spare time. You learn many new skills and ways to enjoy life. I will forever remember this experience and am so grateful for all the amazing people that I met during this workaway!

Erica is a wonderful person and an amazing workawayer. She is interesting, skilled, active and motivated. She did an excellent job in training our young horse but also helped with other jobs. She enjoys being and working outside and is not afraid of dirty hands. She is a very good cook and makes nice food while using normal ingredients. She was for us the ultimate perfect workawayer. O and yes she came with her two dogs 🐕🐕one of them half the size of a Shetland pony (she informed us before coming), and they are lovely! And Erica goes for long walks with them so they were happy and never annoying to us or our campsite guests. Thank you so much Eriva!

Thanks so much Lucille for everything you have done for my school Lucille has been a wonderful volunteer at our school. During her time with us, she showed great dedication, patience, and kindness toward the students. She created a positive and supportive learning environment where every student felt comfortable and motivated. One of the most special things about her was how quickly she connected with the students. They grew very close to her, and it was clear how much they appreciated her presence. She not only taught them but also inspired them, leaving behind many good memories. We are very grateful for all of her efforts and the impact she made. Lucille will always be remembered with warmth by both the students and teachers at our school.

We had an unforgettable stay with Ati and Boon. They are deeply generous, kind-hearted, and inspiring hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like family. Working in the garden with Boon was a wonderful experience. He takes the time to explain, to share his knowledge with passion, and it’s a real joy to support him in what he’s building with so much heart. We were also lucky to go on walks with him through the stunning landscapes surrounding their home, lush jungle, hidden waterfalls, raw nature… Every outing was a breath of fresh air and a moment of wonder. We shared beautiful cultural and culinary exchanges. They introduced us to several delicious local dishes, and we also got to cook a few recipes from our respective countries. These kitchen moments were a great opportunity for enriching conversations about our respective cultures. The language exchange was just as fulfilling: they were curious to learn a few words in our language, and we learned a lot about theirs in a warm, relaxed, and humorous atmosphere. With Ati, we had the chance to discover and take part in her passion: natural weaving, done by hand with care and creativity. A precious art that she shares with gentleness. And then there are Boon’s songs.. so incredibly beautiful, filled with emotion and poetry. It’s a real joy to hear him sing and play the guitar. We only spent a week with them, but it felt like much longer. It’s a place you become attached to very quickly, and we truly hope to return as soon as possible. The little paradise they are building, with so much love and respect for nature, brings us back to what really matters: a simple, beautiful, authentic life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Ati and Boon ❤️

Lucy and Luke are an incredible couple whose hard work and kindness make them truly stand out. They’re always ready to lend a helping hand with a warm, genuine attitude that brightens any space. Their dedication and positive energy are infectious, making them a joy to have around. You’d be lucky to have this beautiful couple stay and help out, and I’d absolutely love to welcome them back anytime!

We spent a week at Federico's! He's a lovely, kind, and helpful person. We helped out with various tasks beyond preparing the rooms and doing housekeeping. It was fun. Plus, it's conveniently located in the city center. Thank you, Federico. It was a pleasure meeting you and Carson.

We stayed in the Marion and Baptiste place our first month in Canada. They are so amazing people. We were so so very happy in our little 'Palace', in the most amazing workaway camp: Los mosquitos town!! We felt this place like a home, and Marion, Baptiste, Flo and Giorgo (the other workaways with whom we shared camp) became our new family for that month. If any of you have the possibility to visit them, you will enjoy a lot your time there. Marion is a magnific chef, we learnt a lot with her and also we shared with them our favourite spanish food. Baptiste is a crazy carpinter (Marion is also crazy), and we also learn a lot of carpinter and building things with him. We miss you guys and we are looking forward to visit you again! And it is not only because of the Marion's food 😍😍😍

Our time in Cornwall with Chris was a very nice experience. We had a change of plans with our dates, and Chris kindly accepted to host us earlier than expected, which we really appreciated. During our stay, we mainly helped with gardening, cleaning the cottage house, painting, and some simple repairs. We also had the chance to try some British dishes (fish and chips and Cornish pasty) and to cook for all, sharing dinners and good conversations. Chris is a very friendly and open-minded person, and we also had the pleasure of meeting his children, Georgia and Bobby, who are really creative and kind. The region around Bude is very beautiful, and we had bicycles to explore it even more. Thank you, Chris, for hosting us!

We apologize for the delay in writing this review. It was our first volunteering experience and our time with Nicky was a good mix of work, learning and sharing. We helped prepare her large garden for winter: pruning plants, cutting branches, planting some flowers, cleaning some lands and removing weeds. Other tasks was creating a stone path and learning how to cut firewood with Mimi, Nicky’s partner. We spent a lot of time with him in the last weeks and enjoyed many nice conversations, specially about music. Nicky knows a lot about history. We had many good conversations with her during dinners, played games together and visited local markets. She is also a great cook and did many delicious dishes, which we really enjoyed. On our last night, we went with Mimi to a rock concert, which was a lot of fun and very special for us. Thank you Nicky and Mimi for this experience.

I spent 2 beautiful weeks at Laura and Rolf's property in July 2025. Them and their family were incredibly welcoming and generous, allowing me to explore the area and join in on family fun. Their dogs are the best little pack, especially Cona, and I hope to see them again some day!

K,hay es la chica más dulce que he conocido . Tiene una elegancia espiritual que me logro sorprender ..A logrado dominar un poco los demonios que todos llevamos .. lista siempre a ayudar siempre presente con un amor infinito por todos los seres . Muy tranquila y alegre .. Todos aportar al espacio desde sus saberes y su saber principal es su bondad es muy bondadosa .

This was a educative and enjoyable stay with Julian and Annabel on their diverse farming operations outside of Ross. There was always plenty of jobs to be done and options to use skills . Annabel and Julian were so generous with their time to ensure we understood what was required and how the work they are doing to regenerate native trees on their farms is so important to the future of farming sustainability in this part of Tasmania. We planted trees, located and identified native trees in pasture lands, guarded and maintained existing trees and worked in the home garden. This is a placement that was rewarding and interesting and the hosts went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We stayed in the Shearers’ quarters with a shared kitchen and our own bathroom. Lunch and evening meals were with the hosts in their family home and they were excellent and there was also an opportunity to do some cooking as well. Just remember tho, it can be very cold and windy, so take warm clothing. They provided us with extra warm jackets for our paddock work ( greatly appreciated). Thanks so much for this experience.

Daiki is a very polite young man. He's English is improving day by day. He tries very hard and studies every day. Daiki helped us with lots of gardening and cleaning. We wish him all the best in his adventures in Australia.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Hacienda and the most important thing first: you should come here as well - under any circumstance!! The day at the Hacienda is well structured (prepare food, clean the places,...) and there is of course also work to do. However it was never overwhelming (rather very fun) and there is enough time to chill, go on trips (Luis offers a great selection) and of course meeting all of the other wonderful volunteers and the dogs!! You should definitely bring: 1. clothes that can get dirty 2. good shoes 3. open mind and a bit of resilience (there will be one shower during your trip, that is not nice and hot and there will be food, that may not satisfy all your cravings - and that's part of the amazing experience) Thank you Luis for this once in a lifetime experience 🐾

I had the absolute pleasure of spending three weeks at the institute, and it was an incredible experience!! It was so much fun working with students of all ages and levels, and everyone was so welcoming and kind. For me as a teacher, the highlight of the experience was definitely working with the local schools. Also, the accommodation in the apartment above the school was very comfortable. I can’t thank Eduin enough for this amazing opportunity. It was truly rewarding, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful teaching and cultural exchange experience!!

I only stayed with Sterling for a couple of days over the weekend whilst I was in Vancouver but I had a wonderful time. We worked for a couple of hours each morning on the Mac and iPhone, showing him a few things, and the rest of the day was to myself. Me and Sterling shared a good laugh and plenty of stories during our time. Sterling is a very kind and funny man, and I definitely recommend anybody that has the chance to stay here. The house is located right near the seabus and in a great part of north van. The room I was staying in was quiet and private, and everything was very clean.

I stayed with Michael for about 3 weeks out in Lake Errock and it was great. The work was flexible, and I mostly cooked our meals plus did some cleaning and outdoor work. I was trusted to work independently, and Michael was accommodating with any requests. We shared good meals together and good laughs. Lake Errock itself is very beautiful and remote, and can be explored on Michael's e-bike, which was a great activity on sunny days. Michael generally travels into Vancouver on weekends so I grabbed a lift in with him a few times which was convinient. Overall a good time.

There were some logistics since they came, while I was already away, handled via my neighbor, and their communication, Care, and responsiveness was excellent . I returned, and everything was well taken care of. They are very pleasant.
