We loved having Armando and Martina to stay with us. They are respectful, polite, friendly, trustworthy and easy to get along with. They helped us an enormous amount around the property - doing gardening, cleaning, babysitting, yard work and also some cooking. They were a delight with our small children and also our dogs. They left everything beautifully clean and tidy. We had lovely chats with them and their English is very good. They were eager to learn about permaculture, and to gain some skills in handy work and building. We really loved having them to stay and we would highly recommend this couple. We will miss you guys!

Jelle and Luna stayed with us for 2 weeks helping out in the garden, and the experience was a very positive one. They are very energetic workers, and worked beyond what was required of them on some days. They cooked some really great meals which really suited the kinds of food our family eats, and made our last evening fun with a special meal and family game. They left their room clean and tidy, and were generally thoughtful guests to have. Communication was really good, they aren't afraid to ask questions to be sure to get the work right. We really appreciate the hard work they put into our garden and wish them all the best on their future travels!

Can't recommend this lovely lady enough ... A beautiful clear smile greeted us , carrying a positive energy to be around and genuine curiosity about the world / culture around her. We were simply blown away with her work ethic and energy ... just try and stop her ;) - she went far beyond what we had hoped for as our 1st workaway experience. All with a smile and whilst oozing gratitude for her time with us , simply infectious happiness. Also very impressed with her respect in sharing spaces , allowing the natural rhythm of the family whilst fitting in unobtrusively - our week whilst she was here was very much enriched on many levels. We loved hosting Alicia here and would have her back in heartbeat !

We've spent 12 days at Resort in Khao Sok National Park. This is definitely the best WorkAway we've experienced so far after having used the platform for 2 years in Australia and made so many connections and new friends. Bodhi offered us the experience of working on the new resort by creating new photos and videos for the website and social media. The job was absolutely amazing because we've also shared the volunteering with other travellers from all around Europe sharing ideas and skills. You also have the chance to have real contact with Thai people, especially with local guides during each activity. P Nong has been so far the best encounter in Khao Sok and she's fluent in English with a big background as guide and as a person - she's the key to communicate with locals. Marius have been with us the whole time guiding us through every activities and content that need to be created and scheduled. The accommodation is amazing and he was always taking care of our needs. Marius has been living in Thailand for over 8 years now and he shared with us his passion for Thailand and Thai people and culture showing us hidden gems and stories. Thank you for having us in this amazing place: you're a great team and we hope to be back one day to see how the resort and the team has grown and flourish. :)

Sam is a good man and a good helper. He was with us for 3 weeks and did a lot of work that we will remember with gratitude. He installed a fence in the chicken area, dug and filled the paths in the garden with stones, prepared holes for planting sorrel and did a lot of small but important work. And also helped with the construction. We recommend him as a diligent helper. Good luck to you Sam. Come visit us again.

We had great time while staying at Mark's and Eliza's Place! Super nice family with cute children and there are very nice beaches around. We would definitely recommend it to other Workawayer's. 🤩🌺

This workaway was a really interesting experience. Tree is a brilliant character - very kind, warm and eccentric! He lives a very unconventional life here in the Philippines and has lots of great stories and perspectives to share. This place feels very special. Poro island is rural and untouched, which is super cool to experience. The local community is extremely friendly and keen to interact with you and the waterfalls, caves and mangrove forests are beautiful. You will be staying in and renovating eco-domes that have been abandoned for a few years. They have a lot of potential, but they still have a long way to go so don't expect luxury from your stay. If you're looking for a rugged and off-grid experience in the Philippines then I would definitely recommend!

An excellent experience with this Australian family. I stayed with them from September to December 2025, and I felt very quickly integrated into family life and daily routines, which made the stay especially enjoyable and enriching. Even though I arrived outside the macadamia nut sorting season, I still had the opportunity to experience this work for around two weeks, along with other varied tasks. The organisation is clear, the atmosphere relaxed, and the setting truly pleasant. I was included in all outings and shared moments, which created a real sense of immersion and many great exchanges. Conversations with Kay and Nic are always interesting, kind and motivating, and you quickly feel comfortable around them. This experience was extremely positive for improving my English, both in terms of language skills and self-confidence. Living in such an open and encouraging environment really makes a difference. 👉 For future volunteers: don’t hesitate, go for it. It’s a complete, human and immersive experience that allows you to learn, grow and leave with wonderful memories.

I stayed with Anna and Olof for three weeks (mid november - early december). I had an amazing time in their house, which is very welcoming and cosy, and with an incredible view on their propriety. Anna and Olof are amazing, really sweet and caring, they always made sure I was happy with my stay, my work and they took me to lots of social events with them, which I found very cool of them! We got along super well, had lots of amazing conversations and they were able to share with me their travel experiences, which I really appreciated :) They are both very positive, funny, welcoming , which made my stay an incredibe experience! It was my first workaway, and I honestly could not find a better one. In terms of work, I did some weeding, wood chipping, clearing the leaves from the driveway, mulching, taking care of chickens and baby chickens, cutting some wood... It was perfect for what I wanted: clear my mind, working with my hands and not only my brain and using my body! I also learned a lot about the life in remote areas and self-sufficient houses, and I think if someone wants this kind of life, the best way to experience it is to stay a bit with them. We did lots of fun stuff together, and even if I did not had a car with me, I was still able to visit the charming towns around their place whenever they had to do some shopping. Thanks a lot to both of them, I already miss this place!

As Thierry’s volunteering journey with us came to an end, our hearts ached with gratitude and love. Through his gentle spirit, unwavering dedication as a football coach, and deep passion for serving humanity, he touched our children and the wider community in ways words could never fully express. He gave more than time—he gave love, hope, and a sense of belonging. The tears and hugs from the children during his last day at the foundation said it all. We thank you, Thierry, for showing everyone what genuine care looked like. You will forever remain in our hearts and we hope you will back again. 🤍

I’m currently solo travelling (Sara), and this was my very first Workaway experience. It couldn’t have been better. From the very beginning, I felt truly at home. Chain and Taisia are people you naturally respect: strong and grounded, yet incredibly sweet, generous, and always ready to help. They gave me so many valuable tips about the island and also about traveling around the rest of Thailand. The tasks were varied and never boring. They ranged from gardening (preparing and sifting compost, pulling weeds, filling water reserves for watering), to construction and repairs (another volunteer and I built a wooden bench together), as well as artistic projects. Everything was well explained, and I always felt supported. Whenever I had any kind of problem or doubt, they were there to help me. Sleeping in the bamboo bungalow was a fantastic experience for me. It taught me to truly appreciate things we often take for granted, and waking up every morning to the sounds of the jungle is simply priceless. If you’re looking for a local, off-the-beaten-path experience, far from mass tourism, while discovering a truly marvelous island, this is absolutely the place for you.

Charlie, es una persona muy especial, conecta facilmente con las personas de una manera autentica, compartimos con èl momentos gratos, aprendimos mucho, reimos, y creamos una amistad que permanecerá en el tempo sin importar la distancia. Charlie sabe que tiene una casa y una familia en Colombia.

We had a great two weeks at Keely and Daniels place. They have a beautiful garden to work in, their kids are so fun and sweet and are always up for games. The room was nice and the area is just wonderful. We found our time there just too short. We had a wonderful experience. thank you!

It was such a pleasure having Vivi stay with us back in May this year! My apologies for missing to write a feedback. Vivi is an amazing young woman, very kind, generous, helpful, hard working and open. She supported me in many ways going beyond her required tasks and working hours, including weeding in the garden and house work and I loved our many interesting conversations! It was very easy to connect with Vivi and a pleasure to have her in our home. I can highly recommend Vivi to any host and look forward to her visiting us again in the future as a friend💝

To have Luca around is a guarantee of a good time, full of amazing stories gathered along his journeys across the world. He is in good mood all the time, even 5:30 in the morning to go to work with the sheep or hoeing the pumpkins. He is one of the volunteers who enjoyed most the small things like taking a nap in the hammock under the blossoming linden, taking amazing pics of every sunset, and having long and amusing chats at the meals time. We enjoyed his company and his delicious cooking. Grazie per tutto caro Luca!

Janna is a very strong, capable and friendly young woman with a great work ethic. She helped me immensely with all sorts of heavy work in the garden and improved not only my environment but also my mood. I enjoyed our many conversations and sharing an interest in choral music. I would recommend her to any host who needs a willing hard worker & would have her back anytime. Thank you Janna.

Muchas gracias a Guillermo y a toda su familia por esta maravillosa acogida. Nos sentimos como en casa. Nos encantó mucho la experiencia en la granja y la vida al estilo chilote. Las tareas son variadas y Guillermo siempre está atento y prepara siempre un muy buen almuerzo (todavía soñamos con el pan). Solo podemos recomendar este Workaway. I stayed at Frank & Junko's place for around 5 weeks and what an incredible time I had. From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed and at home. Their home is absolutely beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to play the piano and guitar everyday. My room was really big, light and airy and even had AC which came in handy on those hot summer days. The grounds surrounding the property were also great to make use of for evening walks and you can find a whole range of wildlife, I became particularly fond of the family of kangaroos who hung out by the flower garden each evening. The work here was enjoyable and rewarding too and varied from maybe cleaning the swimming pool one day, to weeding or leaf-blowing the tennis court the next. Thank you for everything Junko and Frank, I will miss you and Bon Bon, Sharky, Ivory, Stormy and (My favourite) Milky!
