Tem was with us for three weeks and was an excellent workawayer. Her first week she helped us with remodeling tasks, and the last two weeks she helped us with reception, housekeeping, and bartending in our bar. She performed her duties excellently, mainly helping us with the reception software, which was a great help due to her extensive experience in hospitality. Tem is a great person, always willing to help, even at times when she was free. A sociable person, with great charisma, very proactive, and always with a smile. We will miss you very much, Tem. You are always welcome here. Highly recommended workawayer

Liebe Maureen, Lieber Adrien und Kids! bei euch daheim habe ich mich sofort wohl gefühlt und bin super dankbar für die schöne Woche! Meine Aufgabe war vor allem am späten Nachmittag mit der kleinen zu basteln, zu spielen oder einfach Hühner zu füttern. Ihr kleiner Bruder ist ein sehr entspanntes und neugieriges Krabbelbaby. Dabei war ich aber nie alleine mit den Kindern und konnte mir die alltäglichen Aktivitäten immer individuell mit den Eltern aufteilen. Wenn die Kinder im Bett waren, gab es abends auf dem Sofa eine Schmuseeinheit vom kuscheligen Kater Doy und Zeit um beisammenzusitzen, Klavier zu spielen oder für einen „Erwachsenen-Filmeabend“:) Der Wochenendausflug war für mich eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, die schöne Stadt Annecy zu erkunden. Ich kann die Familie jedem deutschen Workawayer wärmstens empfehlen, der das Familienleben mit kleinen Kindern kennenlernen möchte, gerne wandert, radelt oder einfach ein bisschen französische Luft schnuppern möchte. -Aber man muss natürlich keine Französischkenntnisse haben, weil alle sowieso super deutsch können😎 Alles Liebe und eine schöne weitere Elternzeit in Frankreich! I had such a wonderful experience with Sarah, Ray, and Noah! From the very beginning they welcomed me into their family, and I felt at home right away. I learned so much during my stay, and I’m really proud of the projects we completed together in the garden — it was rewarding to see the progress and to contribute to something meaningful. I also really enjoyed our conversations and the time we shared outside of work. I am so grateful that they took the time to show me around and make my stay even more special. They are truly wonderful people, and it has been so nice to keep in touch with them :) I totally recommend them to anyone considering a Workaway — you’ll learn, grow, and feel genuinely welcomed.

Eline was a terrific host! She was very responsive, generous, and accommodating with my situation. I never felt stressed or anxious as the instructions were perfectly communicated and Eline was always quick to reply to any questions I had. Castor and Amber are both amazing pets and I am lucky to have spent the time with them. Both are well behaved and affectionate. Thank you for allowing me to lend a hand, hope to see all three of you in the future!

Sebastian stayed with me for almost 3 weeks, where he most of the time was alone with my house and animals. Sebastian is very tidy and organized. We only had a few days together, but he is friendly and easy to talk to. And we rented kayaks thanks to Sebastian having been in Norway before and had taken a course which made it possible to rent kayaks to paddle on the fjords! Sebastian also had alot of free time during the day, and I think he enjoyed the peace and quiet and was able to explore the area a bit. Most of his responsibilities included taking care of the chickens and collecting eggs, taking my dog Alexa on daily walks and keeping her company. Also looking after my two cats, and keeping up with watering the plants in the greenhouse. He did a very good job! If he had any questions he did not hesitate to contact me while I was away. Sebastian is someone you can trust with leaving your house and animals with easily. I would recommend Sebastian as a workaway guest! Anyone needing a housesitter would feel at ease having Sebastian look after you house.

This was my very first Workaway, and I was so lucky to meet the perfect host from the start! Antoine always gave me missions I could do, and he was very thoughtful and caring. He also gave me plenty of free time, so I could enjoy the beautiful city of Albi, which I really fell in love with. I had a great time living with this fun family, and I even got to make pizzas, which became a wonderful memory! I was also very inspired by their organic lifestyle, staying true to their own values. Thank you so much for everything! Next time, I’ll come back for Laure’s Gyoza🥟 !

Nous avons eu le plaisir de recevoir Zachary chez nous plusieurs semaines. Il s'est immédiatement mêlé à notre quotidien. Il est très sympathique, intéressant et vaillant. Sa présence est à la fois empathique et discrète. Il est généreux, attentionné et il émane de lui une douceur chaleureuse. Ses connaissances sont aussi vastes que son envie d'apprendre et les discussions ont toujours été riches. Nous avons aussi beaucoup ri. Si vous avez la chance de remarquer son profil, n'hésitez pas. Noah was outstanding. He had mild construction experience, but his eagerness to learn and his physical strength more than made up for it. We was curious and often said: "How can I help?" with a smile on his face, which was truly appreciated. He was respectful of our home situation and bed times and also patient with our two dogs. I would highly recommend Noah for anyone looking for a helping hand and I will dearly miss his assistance!

Harry joined us as a volunteer and quickly made a positive impression with his curiosity, initiative, and friendliness. He showed genuine interest in getting to know others, often asking personal questions in a polite and respectful way that felt more like curiosity and conversation than intrusion. This helped him build rapport with both guests and fellow volunteers. During his time with us, he contributed to several hands-on projects including painting bricks for a new garden area, organizing the workshed, raking leaves, and sorting through DIY project materials. He approached each task with enthusiasm and care, helping to improve the functionality and appearance of our shared spaces. Harry also demonstrated good social skills, easily connecting with others and fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere. He was a positive presence in the group and worked well both independently and as part of the team. Overall, he was a helpful and personable volunteer whose efforts were appreciated across multiple areas of the project.

Heike stayed with us for about two weeks and it was very nice. She was super flexible and of great help! She helped with everyday tasks, also in the kitchen, and was super nice also with our kids. After we had shown her around, she and another guest who stayed at our place at the same time, would easily find themselves tasks to do. Some were small and seasonal (like collecting nuts), some were bigger and really made a big difference in the garden. Their biggest achievement was to build a sun trap from scratch. We had old roof tiles piled up and they did a great job with those and a hole lot of mud :) Heike is warmly welcomed to stay with us any time again!

I spent the whole month of May in this beautiful place and i'm delighted with this experience! I felt very lucky to be a waitress in Albania, the owner of the place was super super nice with us and always trying to help, I really recommend this workaway! Thank you to my albanian and international team! PS: I think if I got to go back I would go in the high season because I like work with a lot of customers! Also don't forget that this is another culture and they might not have the same vision on daily subjects (for example women's role in society). Anyway I loved my stay!

I had the true privilege of welcoming Azadeh and Shahriar to our ranch. What a gift they are: two extraordinary souls who radiate joy, respect, and kindness, with hearts that are genuinely in the right place. 🌻 They jumped in with love and energy, helping me move hay for the horses, cleaning and transporting manure to enrich the land, preparing the fields so oats can be sown for the horses’ winter greens, and moving stones at the fences. They worked tirelessly, never once shying away from a task, whether it was pulling weeds, pruning trees, or simply lending a hand wherever it was needed. Every action they took carried a sense of care, contribution, and excellence. Together, we shared moments of fun and culture, they got a chance to see the vibrant festivities of Moros y Cristianos in Jijona, the beauty of the beach, a trip to Castella, the serenity of the mountains, and the heart of Jijona’s old town and of course, we went to a typical Spanish restaurant too. They embraced every experience with openness and gratitude, making those moments even more special. After a dreadful experience earlier this year, Azadeh and Shahriar restored my faith in the youth of today. They reminded me that there are still people in this world who show up with pure hearts, ready to receive and to give, to grow, and to share. For that, I am deeply grateful. Azadeh and Shahriar, you will always have a home here. I look forward to the day our paths cross again. Until then, keep shining, keep contributing, and never change the beautiful hearts that make you who you are.💖

Our time with Marie was not just an experience-it was truly coming home. From the very first moment, we felt embraced with love, care, and kindness. The rooms were spotless, the linens fresh, the air pure, and the view from the top-simply heaven on earth. Everything was cared for with the highest quality, always hygienic, always nature-friendly, and infused with Marie’s beautiful spirit. Marie is not only a wonderful host -she is a motherly soul, a guide, and a friend. She listened to us with the heart of a parent, cared for us beyond expectations, and treated us as part of her family. Every meal we shared together, every idea we exchanged, and every task we worked on as a team felt natural, joyful, and deeply connecting. She is flexible, kind, spiritual, and endlessly supportive. The two dogs, Jingles and Pinto, were pure joy to be around. Jingles, the smartest and cutest soul, and Pinto, so intelligent and friendly -we are already missing them dearly. They added so much love and laughter to our days. We also want to honor Robert, a 72-year-old gentle soul who visited every day to feed the dogs with sausages. His humility, kindness, and spiritual presence touched us deeply. Meeting him was like meeting a saintly friend - he connected with our hearts in a way we will never forget. This journey gave us not just memories, but bonds that will remain with us forever -with Marie, with Jingles and Pinto, and with Robert. We carry their love in our hearts and are already looking forward to meeting them again, sharing meals, working together, and celebrating the beauty of life.

Annika is an amazing young woman: independent, interesting, helpful and she has a good sense of humour. I was very happy to meet her. As I was very busy organising and running an artists' symposium, I couldn't give her as much attention as I would have liked. But thanks to her skills, she was able to complete many tasks entirely on her own. It would be lovely to meet her again.

We immediately felt at ease with Gäby and Venise! In the three weeks we were there we did a lot of outdoor jobs and building on the bus. We had great conversations and a lot of laughs. Gäby and Venise made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Back at home we still often think about those weeks, the amazing views and the cold swims in the fjord every morning. What a wonderful place with wonderful hosts!

Since Nico arrived, we have had a wonderful time. He is kind, easy to communicate with, and a very pleasant person to be around. He was always willing to help with different tasks, eager to learn about planting, and knows how to work with construction tools and equipment. During his stay, he supported us in a variety of jobs around the property, such as installing trims in our roof, helping us finish a fence, preparing beds for our vegetable garden, planting new crops, and doing general maintenance. We highly recommend Nico to any future hosts — he is hardworking, reliable, and great company. We wish him all the best for the rest of his trip and studies!

Our stay at the Pousada was a nice discovery, with its beautiful garden, breathtaking view on the ocean and colorful art all around it is a little corner of paradise. Work schedule was flexible and we could always have plenty of time to drink a nice coffee in between duties. The whole staff is kind, always with a smile :) Setiba area is quiet and well preserved, luscious nature is still intact over there. if you’re lucky you can see funny monkeys and Iguanas around! There is a cute bistro at around 5 minutes walking from the Pousada, they play live music and serve yummy cocktails :) To move around, Uber is always available and at a fair price. Pasé dos semanas en casa de Marc y Roser. Estaba un poco nerviosa porque era mi primer viaje sola y soy bastante tímida, pero enseguida me hicieron sentir muy cómoda. Roser es muy simpática y me encantó hablar con ella, sobre todo de su «deconstrucción como mujer». Ella estaba trabajando, así que hablé más con Marc. Me encantaron nuestras conversaciones y su forma de ver la vida, ¡fue realmente genial! El lugar es muy bonito y todo el mundo es muy simpático. Lo pasé muy bien allí, los paseos por las montañas y colinas son preciosos, las vistas son magníficas. Fue una experiencia increíble. Muchas gracias, espero volver pronto. <3

They were here for two weeks. But from day one, it felt like family. The dynamic was very organic and smooth. They blended in perfectly, without any problems. And what a joy to work with them.
