  I'm Stefano, I'm 50 years old and about 13 years ago I left my job and certainties to start a life path that put people at the center, especially those in need. I initially volunteered and then I founded a non-profit association which, thanks to the help of friends, collaborators and volunteers, gave life to a reality that for seven years, in Rome, helped many people, especially the homeless. Covid stopped everything but just at that moment I decided to take the biggest step: buy an abandoned farmhouse, renovate it, and start a project that in the last four years has welcomed dozens of people really on the margins in a residential way, with painful stories behind them, injuries and important addictions. Living together was not easy: it was a strong experience for everyone, but with many teachings, first of all the importance of going beyond the walls that divide us and welcoming each other without judgment and with a lot of openness of heart.   We all need places or occasions where our lives, our fears, our rigidities, our beliefs (true or false) are welcomed, listened to and creating or strengthening our sacred and natural bond with God, with who we really are.
  Now I am in a very important phase. I decided to take a break from this and deeply integrate what I have experienced in recent years. I do not consider every experience random but designed, through situations and people, specifically for our own growth. I do not rule out returning to dedicate my time and the context I have created to help people and families in difficulty but I would like to dedicate the next few weeks/months to cleaning, reorganizing and maintaining a place that needs a lot of care and attention (gardening, cleaning the farmhouse, developing new ideas and projects such as fences, paths, small masonry works etc ..).
  I am willing to share this time with people who can help me practically in this.
  At the same time, anyone who wants to have this experience should consider the nature and characteristics of this place, a place that invites you to experience moments of solitude, spirituality and prayer or meditation. People who are therefore open, respectful, available to relate to others but independent, who have no problem being alone (especially when i'm not here, taking care of the animals, a very sweet dog and cat) and able to move independently considering the logistical characteristics of the place I describe later (I can provide bicycles). As a non-profit organization I ask for an economic contribution for the food that we can decide how to use once here at the farmhouse (a common fund or individually and freely)
  
  Sono Stefano, ho 50 anni e da circa 13 anni ho lasciato lavoro e certezze per iniziare un percorso di vita che mettesse al centro le persone, soprattutto quelle bisognose. Ho inizialmente fatto volontariato e poi ho fondato una associazione no profit che grazie all'aiuto di amici, collaboratori e volontari ha dato vita ad una realtà che per sette anni, a Roma, ha aiutato tante persone, soprattutto senza fissa dimora. Il Covid ha fermato tutto ma proprio in quel momento ho deciso di fare il passo più grande: comprare un casale abbandonato, ristrutturarlo, e dare il via ad un progetto che negli ultimi quattro anni ha accolto in modo residenziale decine di persone davvero ai margini, con storie dolorose alle spalle, ferite e dipendenze importanti. La convivenza non è stata semplice: è stata una esperienza forte per tutti, ma con tanti insegnamenti, primo fra tutti l’importanza di andare oltre i muri che ci dividono ed accoglierci senza giudizi e con tanta apertura di cuore. Abbiamo tutti bisogno di luoghi o occasioni in cui la nostra vita, le nostre paure, le nostre rigidità, le nostre (vere o false) credenze siano accolte, ascoltate e creando o rafforzando nostro legame sacro e naturale con Dio, con ciò che siamo veramente.
  Ora mi trovo in una fase molto importante. Ho deciso di prendermi una pausa da questo ed integrare in modo profondo quanto vissuto negli ultimi anni. Ogni esperienza non la ritengo casuale ma disegnata, attraverso situazioni e persone, apposta per la nostra propria crescita. Non escludo di tornare a dedicare il mio tempo ed il contesto che ho creato ad aiutare le persone e le famiglie in difficoltà ma vorrei dedicare le prossime settimane/mesi alla pulizia, riorganizzazione e mantenimento pratico di un posto che ha bisogno di tanta cura e attenzione (giardinaggio, pulizia del casale, sviluppo di nuove idee e progetti come staccionate, sentieri, piccoli lavori di muratura etc..).
  Sono disponibile a condividere questo tempo con persone che mi possono aiutare praticamente in questo.
  Allo stesso tempo chiunque voglia fare questa esperienza è bene che consideri la natura e le caratteristiche di questo posto, un luogo che invita a vivere momenti di solitudine, spiritualità contatto con la natura, preghiera o meditazione.
  Persone quindi aperte, rispettose, disponibili alla relazione con gli altri ma indipendenti, che non hanno problemi a stare anche da sole (soprattutto quando non ci sono, occupandosi in quel caso degli animali, un cane ed un gatto dolcissimi) e capaci di spostarsi in maniera autonoma considerando le caratteristiche logistiche del posto che descrivo più avanti (posso mettere a disposizione delle biciclette).
  Come ente no profit chiedo un contributo economico per il vitto che possiamo decidere come utilizzare una volta qui al casale (una cassa comune oppure singolarmente e liberamente)

  Living together is always a challenge and at the same time an enrichment, for everyone. Every person who comes can learn to realete to very different people, to donate their time, skills and energy and receive what they need not only in practical but also in human/spiritual terms: listening, sharing, collaboration , love . The thing we are learning and partly experiencing is that we must get out of the sense of duty, so we do something only in the face of a return (whether it is a salary, a recognition, a role) and open ourselves to the possibility that giving with joy opens the door to receiving, and in abundance.
  
  
  La vita in comune è sempre una sfida ed allo stesso tempo un arricchimento, per tutti. A Ogni persona che viene può imparare a relazionarsi con persone anche molto diverse, a donare il proprio tempo, le proprie competenze e le proprie energie e ricevere quello di cui ha bisogno non solo in termini pratici ma umani/spirituali: ascolto, condivisione, collaborazione e Amore. La cosa che stiamo imparando ed in parte sperimentando noi per primi è che dobbiamo uscire dal senso del dovere, per cui facciamo qualcosa solo a fronte di un ritorno (che sia un salario, un riconoscimento, un ruolo) e aprirci alla possibilità che dare con gioia apre la porta a ricevere, e in abbondanza.

  From a more practical point of view, at this stage of the project I need people who can:
  - carry out cleaning/organization activities of outdoor spaces
  - carry out gardening work (brushcutter, grass mulcher, weed cleaning, tree and plant care, hedge cleaning, etc.)
  - start a vegetable garden (prepare the soil, plant, clean, follow, harvest)
  - take care of the kitchen and cleaning of the farmhouse

  Da un punto di vista più pratico, in questa fase del progetto ho bisogno di persone in grado di:
  - eseguire attività di pulizia/organizzazione degli spazi all'aperto
  - eseguire lavori di giardinaggio (decespugliatore, trincia erba, pulizia erbacce, cura degli alberi e delle piante, pulizia siepi etc..)
  - avviare un orto (preparare il terreno, piantare, pulire, seguire, raccogliere)
  - occuparsi della cucina e della pulizia del casale

  Unterkunft

  Travelers can have their own room and shared/private bathroom (it dipends on the accomodation) with the use of the common areas. The rooms are generally for two people.

  For those seeking peace, tranquility , spirituality and charity work the farmhouse offers all this. It is located north of Rome, in Sabina precisely near Fara Sabina. It is in an isolated context. It is possible to reach a minimarket with a 40-minute walk of dirt road, in the middle of the countryside, without lighting. there is a bus stop there to get you to the nearest train station in 10 minutes. By train you can reach Rome in 40 minutes, Fiumicino (sea and airport) in 90 minutes. For those who have a vehicle the whole territory of Sabina is wonderful, from the nature reserve of Nazzano sul Tevere to the abbey of Farfa. It is an ideal territory to explore it, enjoy good food and relax
  
  Per chi cerca pace, tranquillità, spiritualità e volontariato il casale offre tutto questo. Si trova a Nord di Roma, in Sabina precisamente vicino Fara Sabina. E' in un contesto isolato. E' possibile raggiungere un minimarket ed un tabaccaio con 40 minuti a piedi di strada sterrata, in mezzo alle campagne, senza illuminazione. lì è disponibile una fermata dell'autobus per arrivare alla stazione del treno piu vicina in 10 minuti. Con il treno si raggiunge Roma in 40 minuti, Fiumicino (mare ed areoporto)in 90 minuti. Per chi ha un mezzo tutto il territorio della Sabina è meraviglioso, dalla riserva naturale di Nazzano sul Tevere all'abbazia di Farfa. E' un territorio ideale per esplorarlo, godere di buon cibo e rilassarsi.
