Gentle and kind and intelligent and hard working Giacomo!

It was wonderful to have Kathrin's lovely soft, feminine, calm, gentle energy in the house after having so many young men here. Kathrin was a very sweet and polite houseguest who got along well with all the other Workaways and my friends. She took care of all the household tasks independently and was very reliable, responsible and thorough in keeping the house in order and on top of all the jobs she was asked to do. I would welcome Kathrin back any time.

Where do I start? My time here was the best possible experience. Iiknur went above and beyond as a host always going out of her way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed not only into her home but also her family. There was never pressure to work excessively in fact she constantly reminded me that I was not there to just work but rather a guest. She has a lovely family who despite my lack of language also made me feel very welcome. I helped with a range of jobs in her lovely new house using my previous experience but even so, iiknur would always insist that I don't do too much and sincerely showed her appreciation. She provided historical information about her local village, surrounding areas and country which I found very interesting. She also took me to places to see which was nice as it meant I did not have to explore myself with my minimal knowledge, I was even invited to and attended 2 weddings which was really nice to be included in. There was always food and drinks that I could use at anytime but she also cooked alot for me, which gave me the chance to try authentic home cooked turkish food. She was very easy to communicate with a many times we would stay up talking and exchanging cultural knowledge and language. I can hi early say I feel more like I found a friend and extended family and would definitely return if she needed more help but also just to visit. I can truly recommend that anyone looking for a workaway placement in turkey should join iiknur anytime she is requiring a workawayer, she really is an angel. By the end of this stay I was sad to say goodbye.

Joan, Sjùrdor og Magne er en skøn famillie, jeg var virkelig glad for min tid sammen med dem. Øen er smuk og det er en dejlig hverdag med de lange lyse dage jeg havde deroppe, kommer til at savne det.

I stayed with Marina for a week and had a good time. We got a lot of woodworking projects done, and she showed me the coastline of Montenegro and invited me to a local birthday lunch with friends. Marina has a great knowledge of Montenegrin history, language and culture which I really appreciated. The added bonus was the local cats and dog that would visit the house every day to say hello. Thanks again for having me Marina!

Meeting Anna and making a project together, ( I've long dreamed about), was an exceptional experience. She is a videographer and during her stay we were filming videos about the incense blends I make. She was super professional, came prepared with all the necessary equipment and we were intensely filming for a week. After that she continued with the editing. We were both so happy with this experience & how our ideas blended that we decided to work on another project together in autumn. I am really looking forward to working with her again! What a beautiful collaboration!

Debra only stayed for 2 days with us. Our personalities did not match. We are truly sorry that we were not the right family for Deb ra. we wish her all the best in her travels, we probably crossed paths at the wrong time

This workaway was my first experience, and also my first time as a solo women traveler. And I couldn’t except a better one ! Bishwo and Lena welcomed me as a part of the family. We spent all the mornings at the farm (except the Saturday). The work was a bit hard at this time, it was a lot about digging and moving big rocks, but when I was tired I could also help in the garden, taking care of the vegetables. The farm is a really nice place, surrounded by fields. Bishwo is always up to hang out, and loves to have fun and share good moments. They also really helped me at first when I arrived and I was scared to travel alone. They gave me all the good adresses and always helped me when I needed. The food of Nishchal and Raj, was delicious, the best dal Bhat I ate in Nepal. And he teached us how to cook a lot of other meals, whenever we wanted to ! I met a lot of really nice people during this workaway, with who we shared a trek after. Bhaktapur is also the perfect place to stay in Nepal. The city is realllyyy beautiful. I spent a lot of days here. Just walking around, and trying all the amazing food that the city has to offer. It’s really calmer than Katmandou, but also really close, so you can do a lot of things around the city during you’re free afternoon (Katmandou, Nagarkot, patan, Panauti, Kirtipur…). After my workaway ended I kept coming back to the hostel during my trip, so see the people, and i always felt at home :) I really recommand this experience with the nicest people ! I will always keep a perfect memory of my month spent here !!! And I will obviously come back, the next time I come to Nepal!❤️

Laura was just as she writes in her biography - with an exploring mind and a willing attitude. Her English is excellent; cant understand why she rates herself as intermediate.

Lee and Tori were an absolute delight. I instantly fell in love with Pablo, Koko, Henry, Charlie, Jasper, and Ari - all the wonderful animals a part of this beautiful family. The turtles were adorable, the French bulldogs looked at you with nothing but love and always wanted cuddles, and the cat was one of the friendliest I’ve ever met. From the moment I arrived, Lee made me feel welcome while also being clear about what she needed help with, which I really appreciated. She asks for very little compared to what you receive in return: incredible chef-made meals, endless laughs, kindness, and plenty of sass. I loved the sass. I had some of the best moments of my time in Australia here, and this family will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for welcoming me into your home. It was an experience I’ll never forget.

Jean and Yi-Hsi were an excellent couple, hard working and good company. Jean helped me greatly though some difficult work situations. Excellent driver and good cook, which he should be - with 14 years experience. We talked about him staying more time in Japan, which may happen.

Ma première expérience Workaway. Tout à fait positive. Léa est une personne sérieuse, travailleuse, opiniâtre, qui comprend vite et s’autogére ensuite. La cohabitation et les échanges ont été fort agréables. Le travail accompli avec beaucoup de rigueur. Une relation qui perdurera certainement dans le temps. Prêt à recommencer avec elle si elle le souhaite. Je recommande sans aucune réserve. Bonne chance à elle pour la suite de son voyage.

Mitchell is a fantastic teacher with great energy and a very positive attitude. His lessons are always fun, engaging, and enjoyable for the children, and they genuinely look forward to learning with him. He creates a friendly and welcoming environment where students feel confident and motivated to participate. His enthusiasm, encouragement, and active teaching style make a positive impact on every child he teaches. Anyone looking for an English teacher or volunteer to work with children would be lucky to have Mitchell, and I would highly recommend him. Thank you, Mitchell, for your kindness, dedication, and the wonderful contribution you have made to our children .

Joe and Kaho were an interesting couple. I enjoyed their bilingual presence, and their Australian experience. Unfortunately they did not stay long enough for us to really get to know them properly.

Deepak and Kaushila welcomed me as someone of their family. they have a real sense of hospitality ! the food was one of the best I ate I Nepal ! Kaushila made differents meals everyday, and also a lot of snacks during the day. The tea, all along the days was amazing. I learn a lot thanks to them, in the fields, in the kitchen, and making the tea. The work is really manageable, you work 3hours per day, and it was mostly about learning than helping us because it takes time to be efficient ! Their house and garden are really cute and calm. I played a lot with the cats and the baby goats. we also have a lot of interesting discussions about culture, Nepal and differents things, moments that I really enjoyed ! Kaushila and Deepak are truly the most kind and welcoming persons I met, I recommend to anyone to take time to go there, outside of the main touristics place of Nepal, to learn a lot, and share really good and unique moments !

We had a wonderful experience with Pangiran and his family a few months ago, and still talk about our lovely time very often. I truly hope we have the opportunity to return sometime! It is an incredibly special place and I really feel that we learned so much. We are particularly interested in Indigenous rights and land preservation, so to have had the chance to speak with Pangiran and other important community members about Lundayeh culture and history was absolutely unmatched. Pangiran was willing to answer our many-many-many questions, and shared with us so much insight. He and his family are very hospitable and welcoming. During our stay we enjoyed connecting with many different members of the community, often over lovely beverages and snacks prepared by Pangiran's wife. We especially appreciated the chance to chat with Guru and listen to his stories and songs. We also got to attend a church service with everyone, which was a truly unique and memorable moment for us. The work itself was not difficult, and everyone was very patient with us as physical labor isn't necessarily our strong suit! All of our needs were met and then some during our stay. Prior to our arrival, we anticipated much less comfortable arrangements than we were met with. We visited during a very rainy time, and were offered a comfortable private room indoors, as well as access to a Western bathroom and other facilities. Thank you again to Pangiran and his family for hosting us. The knowledge we have gained will stick with us for a lifetime. As Guru likes to sing, we hope to "Please come back again!" <3 Best Wishes
