We had such a fantastic time staying with and working alongside Mayu, Peter and (most importantly) Bobby. They welcomed us into their home and we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed, creating such a lovely environment for workawayers! We did the majority of our volunteered work outside, in the garden, which was great as Peter and Mayu taught us how to plant different herbs and vegetables, how to use equipment and even how to deal with the osuzumebachi waps! We are so grateful for our time spent with Mayu and Peter and could not recommend them enough for anyone who is interested in enjoying the Japanese countryside, whilst staying with some wonderful people.

Elvira stayed with us for just over a week. In that time she did a range of tasks like whipper snipping, installed gutter leaf protection, helped collect wild willow, cleaning, set up new berry trellis. She gave everything a go successfully and was honest in her time keeping. As well as all that she is a very interesting , intelligent snd positive person to hang out with. We wish her well in her travels and recommend her to anyone.

Vicky and Ejvind were my first Workaway hosts and I couldn't have asked for better. They were very kind and inviting right from the beginning. They gave me clear instructions and appreciated when I asked clarifying questions to make sure I was doing the assigned tasks correctly and how they wanted it done. I learned so much from them about gardening, landscaping, animal care, wood working, and cooking. They also included me in their community. I met many of their friends and family who are all great people to know. I would highly recommend them as hosts for anyone who wants to experience farm life in Alberta.

I had a great experience. While I was there they had recenetly lost electricity, so no running water or fans. But despite this, I had a really great time. I went in with the goal of developing my Spanish and I definitely had the opportunity. Jair is an extremely interesting person who makes the experience. He’s very accommodating and can offer so much to learn from. If you’re looking for an unique and different way to be in Colombia this is a great option.

I stayed with Kim, Pete and Kim’s Mum for just under 3 weeks. I had the most incredible time; they have such a wonderful home and all of their animals are so friendly and well taken care of! They really made me feel welcome in their home and part of their family. I learnt so much about training young horses from Kim and about Spanish riding from Kim’s trainer Mira. They were very kind and happy to give me lifts to and from the station when needed! I spent lots of time beside the pool in my time off and also visited Sax, Alicante and Valencia during my stay. Kim cooked us some lovely meals and Peter shared lots of magic tricks with us. I had such an enjoyable time staying with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much Kim and Pete :)

I don’t even know how should I rate these guys, because five stars is not enough!!! I would need at least ten to be accurate! Having them at home was such an amazing thing. These two are so unique and special, that it is hard to describe it by words. Every minute spent with them was worth it. They weren’t just amazing workers, great companions for our kids and us, but also real gentlemen, who were always ready to help where needed without even asking. They didn't have any problems with any task given. They accomplished everything precisely. The great mood they had spread around them was so contagious, that after a couple days everything in our home was full of joy and fun. They were so enthusiastic about everything new, which has motivated us to show them always more from our culture or cuisine. We spent amazing afternoons going for ice cream or for little trips, or during the free days also for bigger trips. They were always happy to see something new and always very grateful. They both were so good at playing with our kids. Our daughter was totally in love with Henry, still sitting on her lap while having lunch or dinner and our son enjoyed a lot playing football with both of them. These guys are absolutely extraordinary in the way they behave and think. I mean there are not so many 18-years old guys who are reliable, punctual, hard-working, smart, funny, sporty and simply awesome! They have given me a new hope for the future generation (gen Z 😊). And Travis's vlogs are the best! We are more than happy to have shared these amazing three weeks with them. The signs they have made for us will always remind us on them. I will always keep these memories with them in my mind and for me they are a new part of our family. Thank you, Trav and Henry, for EVERYTHING! Much appreciated! We had a blast!! 😊 P.S.: Mr. Roo, Oreo, škubánky and us will always await you guys!

Matheus stayed with us for two weeks and was a great help throughout his stay. He supported us with a wide variety of tasks, including concrete work, woodworking, cleaning, weeding, and general household duties. He completed every task to a high standard and always showed a positive and proactive attitude. Matheus was willing to learn, took responsibility for his work, and often looked for ways to help without needing to be asked. Beyond his work, he was friendly, easy to get along with, and a pleasure to have around. We shared many good conversations and had a lot of fun together during his stay. We highly recommend Matheus to other hosts. He is hardworking, reliable, proactive, and brings great energy wherever he goes.

We had the pleasure of hosting Nataliia as part of our family, and we can wholeheartedly recommend her. From the very beginning, she was kind, respectful, reliable, and brought such a positive energy into our home. She adapted quickly to our daily life, helped wherever needed, and always showed great responsibility and enthusiasm. We also especially appreciated her experience and skills in gardening. It was a real pleasure to share experiences, conversations, and everyday moments with her. She is open-minded, caring, and a wonderful person to have around. We truly appreciated her help and the great atmosphere she created during her stay. We would happily welcome her back anytime and wish her all the best for her future travels. Any host would be lucky to have her!

This was my first Workaway, and Monica was a great host to start with. She is very kind, funny, and helpful. She helped me rent a car cheaply, sorted out cheaper ferry tickets and gave me general help navigating the area. The weather wasn’t great, but Monica always had suggestions for jobs we could do. She has a lovely garden with lots of things growing and some ideas for garden work over the summer. Rekdal is quiet but lovely, with some nearby walking trails. Thanks again, Monica!

Josefin was a pleasure to have around, bubbly and positive. We had great chats and she was so lovely with all the animals. It was a shame that we had experienced a major flood before she arrived, and the rain still hadn't stopped (very unusual for our area) so we couldn't have as much fun as we would have liked but regardless it was a very pleasant exchange. I recommend her to other hosts.

We had a great time with Roma. He was very polite, very helpful, and enthusiastic for everything. Roma is a calm person and he is able to communicate clearly and positive. He was great with our dogs We don’t forget him We recommend him very much

Jarl is an interesting and very knowledgeable man, especially when it comes to renovating his sailing boat. I only helped a little, but it’s a huge project and I wish him all the best with it. His home is beautiful, full of plants, with access to both the sea and a nearby forest. Bolsøya is quiet but lovely, with regular buses into Molde. Thanks for having me — maybe I’ll see you in Colombia ;)

I have been doing Workaway for seven years, and this has been one of my best experiences. Jean-Louis and Valérie are very kind, open, and generous people, and they are very welcoming to Workawayers. We had a great time together, and we shared life experiences and good conversations during my stay with them. They used to take short trips for appointments or business, and that allowed me to explore the neighboring localities: Lautrec, Albi, Castres... and meet their friends and neighbors. We worked mainly in the garden: mowing, pruning the wisterias, weeding... We also uncovered and prepared the swimming pool for the summer. The house is ancient, very well kept, with an inner courtyard and a big garden. The Workawayer has a very nice room with her own bathroom. There are peaceful walking paths... and the best boîte à livres I have ever found in France. To me, as someone who loves cinema, the best part was getting to know and learning from Jean-Louis's experiences. He has had a very interesting working life, and he likes to share it with people who are interested. I could watch his films and documentaries, and he told me about the writing, the shooting, the anecdotes, the contingencies... He is working on a clip for an organization for the defense of battered women, and I accompanied him to the shoots. I had the opportunity to spend time with these great people and get to know about their struggle to defend and empower them. The same with the clips for a political movement. Jean-Louis showed me how the editing of the images is done, the programs he use, how to coordinate image and sound, and the tricks to get the best work. Fascinating Jean-Louis and Valérie, thank you for the great time we had together and for everything you shared with me. A la prochaine, bien sûr.

Capucine and Thibault stayed with me for about three weeks. They are a lovely couple: hardworking, responsible and trustworthy. Also, very good gardeners and great with animals. They are both at university and have other skills (engineering and teaching). I feel fortunate that they stayed here. They were also very respectful and independent, happy to work/be on their own which was great as I was very busy. And also good company when we managed to do things together. Thank you!

We had a fab time with Kelly here! She's super welcoming and made us feel part of her whole gang of friends right from the off, cooked us some banging food (including loads of local king fish which is amazing!) and made us more tea than you could want for. We also joined in with the yoga that was on most days, and had lots of flexibility around work hours, and the actual tasks to get done, which made for an awesome few weeks on Little Corn!

Well, Giovanna e Adrian are a special and unique family. They are kind, so welcoming, funny, open to help you and suggest you places to see. They Always made me feel comfortable. The son and daughter are lovely as well and It was a real pleasure spending time with them. The house is very cool, sourrounded by nature, but close to the bus station to Murcia. I really recommend them 💘
