Me and Emilia spent 3 very nice weeks at Anna's and Steve's place. Anna and Steve were very welcoming, friendly and were really helpful in regards of which things to do in the area. The house is located right at the beach. There's a beautiful outdoor kitchen with ocean view. Puerto Cayo is a cool, local and chill place to spend some weeks. It's a small safe pueblito with locals inviting you over for dinner just after 10min of speaking to them at the local football field. Awesome people! The work was totally fine and Anna is very flexible with your working tasks as well as the time schedule (which you can pick individually but normally people work from 8am to 12pm). Our tasks included cleaning the windows, reparations, walking the dogs and gardening. Regarding the surf, there is a board rental for 10$ per hour and surf classes for 20$ per hour. Or you bring your own board. The beach break in front of the property is quite a hard slap and often close-out (although generally it was quite big when we were there) - so you might want to move a bit more south near the cabañas. I stayed with Janice and Darryl for 2 weeks. During my time there I had a lot of fun learning tons about life in rural Sasketchewan and their farm life. Besides helping on the farm, I also had the chance to go on a ride along on the big machinery and was allowed to drive across the field with an ATV (lots of fun!) The highlight of my stay was giving the bottle to one of the baby goats! Both were very welcoming and have given me important tips for my travels. Darryl even picked up a part for my car during a trip to the city. Due to repairs on my car and a tornado warning I had to stay longer than originally expected and that was no problem at all because Janice was so flexible thankfully. Thank you for your kindness, I really enjoyed my stay with you!:)

Ocea stayed with us for a week She was a pleasure to host as she's very flexible, cheerful, helpful and sparking joy. From cooking to moving furniture she was supporting us in many ways always with her kind and positive attitude.

Quel plaisir d’avoir pu compter sur Amélie et Nadia pendant ces deux trop courtes semaines! En plus d’avoir été super efficaces (elles ont pris en charge, entre autres, un gros projet pour notre vide sanitaire et l’ont mené du début à la fin avec beaucoup de soin!), nous avons eu la chance de faire la connaissance de deux très belles personnes avec qui nous avons pu passer des moments de qualité (On a beaucoup ris ! ) ! Notre garçon a également beaucoup aimé pouvoir passer du temps avec elles et elles ont été douces, patientes et créatives avec lui! On recommande sans hésiter, c’est certain!!

Viola stayed with us from May19-june08. She is a wonderful soul, very considerate and open hearted. We were very grateful to have her. She made an amazing risotto for everyone and would do any job that's needed from cleaning to ruining errands, biking or carrying things, she never looked at the clock and was very modest about her own needs. She is also very flexible and has a genuine interest in the world and its people and beauty. It was fun to sing with her in our choir.

Marianne stayed in our home with our adult daughter while we were away. Our daughter said she was lovely to talk to and have in the house. She pitched in, happy to do anything to help everything run smoothly and well while we were gone. We'd love to have her again and meet her in person rather than only by phone!

Thank you Lucy for your lovely feedback. You were our first Australian and you were easy to be kind to because you are very lovely yourself. Lucy was a hard worker and she learned quickly what was a weed and what was a plant. She had a very happy and sunny personality and was a very willing participant in everything we did. She was only a short term worker but in that short term we finished all of the work we had scheduled for when she was here. Lots of laughter and fun and work. A great combination. We would love you to come back any time especially as you are only in Ozzie.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay with this amazing family. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and pampered. They were always kind, generous, and made sure I had everything I needed. During my stay, I had the opportunity to participate in various tasks such as gardening, painting, fruit picking, cleaning, and helping out on a construction site. I truly loved discovering new activities. The accommodation was peaceful and surrounded by nature… waking up to kangaroos in the garden was a magical experience! The meals were absolutely delicious, and it was always a pleasure to prepare them, share stories, and spend time in the kitchen with Steve. These little moments made me feel truly at home. I am sincerely grateful for their kindness, hospitality, and generosity, and I highly recommend this Workaway experience to anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and meeting warm and welcoming people. Thank you again for welcoming me into your home and for everything you've shared with me. 💛

Elwin ha messo umilmente a nostra disposizione i suoi talenti aiutandoci a spaccare e sistemare la legna, verniciare, cucinare e molto altro. È stato sempre cortese e rispettoso, molto propositivo e autonomo, sempre disponibile ad aiutare partecipando alla vita familiare. Il ragazzo parla un italiano eccellente che cerca di migliorare ogni giorno. Elwin è una persona non banale, piena d'interessi con la quale è piacevole confrontarsi e condividere anche pensieri profondi o giocare in spensieratezza. Insomma, un ragazzo che vale la pena di conoscere e che ringraziamo per ogni giorno trascorso insieme a noi.

We only can give Petra the highest Praise in how she performed the daily duties. She goes beyond the expectations. We can recommend her highly. She is anytime welcomed in our home. I had a brilliant few days with Viv and her wonderful family. It was an honour to be each others' first Workaway experience! I felt so welcomed into the home, and immediately was at ease, calm and comfortable thanks to everyone's kindness and thoughtfulness. I had my own space in the house (own bedroom and bathroom) but also got to enjoy lots of time with the family - which was great. In between working on preparing and leveling ground before laying some paving, and chopping up wood, I had a great time exploring the fantastic countryside around Alice Springs with Viv and her kiddos. She showed me amazing places I would never have visited otherwise! Oh, and she cooked amazing food for us all, too :) What a fab time - thank you so much!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. We agreed on an arrival date and I made preparations to host Franklin. However, he did not arrive on the agreed date and did not inform me of any change in plans. I sent several messages before and on the day of arrival, but I received no response. If circumstances had changed, I would have appreciated being informed in advance. As a Workaway host for about five years, this is the first time I have experienced a volunteer not arriving as agreed and providing no communication. I understand that travel plans can change, but clear and timely communication is essential for a successful Workaway experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Franklin to future hosts.

Clara and Remy were excellent workers and lovely company! They did an incredible thorough job painting inside our home and I loved sharing dinners and card game evenings with them. They also stayed on for a few days while I went on a road trip and they took great care of my dog and cat. They’re always welcome to come back as friends while travelling in Australia

I loved my stay with Aura and her daughter. They were both very welcoming and opened their hearts and home. Their home is lovely and the kids from school and kindergarten stop by all the time to hang out or do art projects. I was interesting to be a part of the community for a week and experience how life is in a Honduran village. Highly recommended!

I spent almost three weeks with Marta, Tim, and their three wonderful children in a cozy little village about 30 kilometers from Budapest. For those who want to be close to the capital, it can be reached by bus in just 40 minutes. And for anyone looking to escape the big city, this place offers peace, quiet, and the sound of birdsong. I truly enjoyed my time there, pulling weeds, planting,watering the garden, walking the dog, and even using the compost toilet. I met two fellow volunteers, with whom I coud speak Spanish and English. Marta's five years old daughter taught me how to tie my shoelaces in a way that never comes undone. I will always remember Marta's delicious cooking, the family activities, the folk dance events and the singing gatherings in the Fonó. We will meet again soon.

I had an amazing week at Julio’s finca up in the mountains. I helped out at the coffee farm there, living together with Don Carlos. Both were very welcoming and took good care of me. An experience I will remember for a long time.

Como profesor, destacó por su dedicación, paciencia y compromiso con el aprendizaje de sus estudiantes. Sus clases fueron dinámicas, interesantes y reflejaron su vocación por la enseñanza. Además, su capacidad para relacionarse con los demás y trabajar en equipo contribuyó a crear un ambiente positivo y enriquecedor. Agradecemos profundamente su tiempo, esfuerzo y la excelente disposición que mostró en cada actividad. Nos llevamos el recuerdo de una gran persona y un gran profesional, cuyo aporte fue valioso para todos nosotros. Elena spent four weeks with us teaching English for oiur students and assisting the German main tutor. Throughout her stay she demonstrated excellent communication and teaching skills. We wish her all the best in her endeavors.
