Nicole is a great person and volunteer! She is the perfect mix of responsible and fun. Nicole and our little one connected straight away. She would collect our boy from school, and then they would stay out until 17:30 for picnic in the park, visiting the doggy park, checking out some kiddie parks, the Plaza Mayor, and even the beach! They also had fun drawing and crafting with paper sometimes. Nicole stayed at our rental house for digital nomads and seasonal workers, and she made great connections & adapted perfectly. Nicole also helped with organizing, cleaning, and some gardening. Thank you, Nicole!

I don't even know where to start writing this. After spending two months with Anna and Sergio, this doesn't feel like writing a review for 'hosts’ but it feels more like writing about two dear friends. My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. Doing a Workaway here never truly felt like 'work'; whether I was working alongside them, on my own, or with other volunteers, it was always such a pleasant and rewarding experience. From the very first day, they made me feel completely at home, welcoming me into their lives and including me with their family and friends. I’m so grateful for all the time we spent together, both during work and in our free time, and for everything they did to make sure my stay was as special as possible. There is honestly a mountain of wonderful things I could say, and this review would never end if I tried to list them all. From Anna’s incredible cooking, to the time spent with the goats, the walks with Nevao the dog, the music, the laughter, the beautiful nature, and simply the amazing people I met. I grew so deeply attached to everyone and everything here that it’s hard to put into words. If you are looking for a genuine exchange experience, surrounded by nature and wonderful people, this is the place to be. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you both for such a beautiful, unforgettable two months! I hope to see you again soon <3 beijinhos

Günter stayed with us for 2 weeks and indeed we were very sorry to see him go. Firstly he is a great worker, not afraid to get stuck in and use his initiative when needed. Himself and Ray did a lot of hedge cutting, clearing out the polytunnel, maintenance on the lane... all done with good cheer. Great conversation was had over coffee and lunch breaks and a couple of good days/nights out over a couple of Guinness or three! We hope to have Günter back for Workaway on his next trip to Ireland. He is always welcome!

Lovely family, very easy going and fair! The location of their apartment is unreal and I loved my time in Croatia, children were very sweet and parents were super accommodating! :)

What an amazing experience with Lucy and Pat! They came to the farm and right away we felt great with the energy that they were bringing, great humor and understanding of life. They were easy to talk to easy to get along easy to explain the tasks, in the beginning they worked with other people and when they needed to work alone they found a way to be a great team together, very self-sufficient individuals. Because of time pressure they invested extra time just to finish the project which was unexpected and highly appreciated. For any future host you will be lucky to have them!! feed them well and treat them well!! and there will be a great addition to whatever project you want. You are always welcome back anytime, just show up!

Warning: Don't you ever choose Angus & Adri if you don't want your place to NEVER be the same again after they leave. These guys are simply out of this world. Lovely, warm-hearted, fun people with an incredible amount of energy to transform whatever they touch. We had the honor and pleasure to stay with Angus and Adri for several weeks and we wished they never left. Whether it was hard work of hitting stones in the scotching sun, whether it was creative task, organizing brains, cooking, late night dish washing parties, caring for our dogs, or being the best costumer magnets in our new café, they showed full dedication in all they did. Angus and Adri didn't just become a part of this community, they're family, and we can't recommend them enough!<3

Vanessa and Sean took great care of our 7 furry family members. All our animals were happy and content. Wishing them all the best on their next adventures!

Marie and Finn are an amazing young couple and were a delight to host. They are young but very mature, independant and self directed. Finn is very strong and energetic, and helped me with heavy lifting in the garden, clearning spaces, filling the raised beds, powerhosing and general garden tasks done with a smile. Marie is a great organisiner, hard worker, and together they are very creative musicians and artists. They built me a fairy village, made me a beautiful painting, and cooked some wonderful meals all while keeping the place in great order and being so kind to my cats, who adored them. You will be lucky to have them come to your home!

It was wonderful to have Kathrin's lovely soft, feminine, calm, gentle energy in the house after having so many young men here. Kathrin was a very sweet and polite houseguest who got along well with all the other Workaways and my friends. She took care of all the household tasks independently and was very reliable, responsible and thorough in keeping the house in order and on top of all the jobs she was asked to do. I would welcome Kathrin back any time.

Where do I start? My time here was the best possible experience. Iiknur went above and beyond as a host always going out of her way to make me feel comfortable and welcomed not only into her home but also her family. There was never pressure to work excessively in fact she constantly reminded me that I was not there to just work but rather a guest. She has a lovely family who despite my lack of language also made me feel very welcome. I helped with a range of jobs in her lovely new house using my previous experience but even so, iiknur would always insist that I don't do too much and sincerely showed her appreciation. She provided historical information about her local village, surrounding areas and country which I found very interesting. She also took me to places to see which was nice as it meant I did not have to explore myself with my minimal knowledge, I was even invited to and attended 2 weddings which was really nice to be included in. There was always food and drinks that I could use at anytime but she also cooked alot for me, which gave me the chance to try authentic home cooked turkish food. She was very easy to communicate with a many times we would stay up talking and exchanging cultural knowledge and language. I can hi early say I feel more like I found a friend and extended family and would definitely return if she needed more help but also just to visit. I can truly recommend that anyone looking for a workaway placement in turkey should join iiknur anytime she is requiring a workawayer, she really is an angel. By the end of this stay I was sad to say goodbye.

I had great time with tom, it was exellent ! The mobile home is very cosy :)

Joan, Sjùrdor og Magne er en skøn famillie, jeg var virkelig glad for min tid sammen med dem. Øen er smuk og det er en dejlig hverdag med de lange lyse dage jeg havde deroppe, kommer til at savne det.

I stayed with Marina for a week and had a good time. We got a lot of woodworking projects done, and she showed me the coastline of Montenegro and invited me to a local birthday lunch with friends. Marina has a great knowledge of Montenegrin history, language and culture which I really appreciated. The added bonus was the local cats and dog that would visit the house every day to say hello. Thanks again for having me Marina!

Meeting Anna and making a project together, ( I've long dreamed about), was an exceptional experience. She is a videographer and during her stay we were filming videos about the incense blends I make. She was super professional, came prepared with all the necessary equipment and we were intensely filming for a week. After that she continued with the editing. We were both so happy with this experience & how our ideas blended that we decided to work on another project together in autumn. I am really looking forward to working with her again! What a beautiful collaboration!

Debra only stayed for 2 days with us. Our personalities did not match. We are truly sorry that we were not the right family for Deb ra. we wish her all the best in her travels, we probably crossed paths at the wrong time

This workaway was my first experience, and also my first time as a solo women traveler. And I couldn’t except a better one ! Bishwo and Lena welcomed me as a part of the family. We spent all the mornings at the farm (except the Saturday). The work was a bit hard at this time, it was a lot about digging and moving big rocks, but when I was tired I could also help in the garden, taking care of the vegetables. The farm is a really nice place, surrounded by fields. Bishwo is always up to hang out, and loves to have fun and share good moments. They also really helped me at first when I arrived and I was scared to travel alone. They gave me all the good adresses and always helped me when I needed. The food of Nishchal and Raj, was delicious, the best dal Bhat I ate in Nepal. And he teached us how to cook a lot of other meals, whenever we wanted to ! I met a lot of really nice people during this workaway, with who we shared a trek after. Bhaktapur is also the perfect place to stay in Nepal. The city is realllyyy beautiful. I spent a lot of days here. Just walking around, and trying all the amazing food that the city has to offer. It’s really calmer than Katmandou, but also really close, so you can do a lot of things around the city during you’re free afternoon (Katmandou, Nagarkot, patan, Panauti, Kirtipur…). After my workaway ended I kept coming back to the hostel during my trip, so see the people, and i always felt at home :) I really recommand this experience with the nicest people ! I will always keep a perfect memory of my month spent here !!! And I will obviously come back, the next time I come to Nepal!❤️
