  ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
  We run a boutique bungalow property perfectly situated right on the beach and lagoon in the peaceful town of Kappalady, Kalpitiya. We are traveling to Belgium from November 16th to December 28th.
  
  WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  We need an independent person or couple with a hands-on mentality who adapts fast to changing situations and can take good care of themselves. Rural life means being resourceful; we want someone who won't be easily fazed by the small, everyday things that can pop up and who can comfortably step in as a problem solver if needed while we are away!
  
  PLEASE NOTE:
  If you prefer parties, busy nightlife, and lots of shopping, or if you are afraid of nature and everything that belongs to it, this position will not be a good fit.
  
  IMPORTANT HANDOVER DATES:
  We ask that you arrive on November 14th. This gives us two full days together so we can show you around, introduce you to the animals, and explain everything clearly before we officially leave on November 16th.
  If you love the ocean, peace, quiet, and nature, this is the ultimate getaway! We live in a traditional local village, so you should have an adventurous spirit and a respect for local culture.
  
  YOUR DAILY TASKS:
  
  Pet Care:
  Feed and love our 3 cats and 4 dogs. Our pack ranges from energetic 1 and 4-year-olds to sweet, gentle seniors aged 12 and 14 who require a little extra love and attentiveness.
  
  Dog Walks:
  Take our dogs out for their beach and lagoon walks. We walk them at least every second day, but they can happily go out more if you like! These are nature walks in a rural environment. If you are a true nature enthusiast who enjoys the outdoors, you will love it here! However, because we are in the tropics, it might not be the right fit if you are uncomfortable with a rural environment.
  
  Eco-Cleanup:
  We hope that you help protect our beautiful environment by collecting trash from the beach during your dog walk. This will not be a lot, but if you help to keep it regularly clean, it will make a big difference.
  
  House Upkeep:
  Keep the main living spaces clean and tidy. We worked hard for it, so would prefer someone who respects the value of a property.
  
  Construction Updates:
  We will have ongoing construction at the front of the property. It will not bother you, and you do not need to manage the build at all. We just kindly ask that you keep an eye on the progress and occasionally send us a few photo updates!
  
  Note: Our staff will handle cleaning the garden and the bungalows.

  -Free use of our gear: You are welcome to use our kayaks and SUPs (Stand-Up Paddleboards) to explore the water!
  
  -Transport & Exploring: We provide bicycles for your local travel around the village, and it is very easy to rent a scooter locally if you want to explore further out.
  
  -High-quality, fast fiber internet—ideal for digital nomads or remote workers.
  
  -Convenience: A local shop is located right opposite the property for your daily needs.
  
  - Kitesurfing Destination: The winter kitesurfing season kicks off in December! Right next door to us is the Duotone Pro Center Kappaladi, where you can easily take professional lessons to learn the sport, rent gear, or simply go kiting in the flat-water lagoon.
